From these waters, thoughts for me to you
Observer serves a higher point of you
Now we see that you are me and I am you
My thoughts are blooming roses blue
Water through my soil, through my roots
Searching for higher, higher point of you
From these waters to the sky and through the moon

Your little friend Stinky has become kind of a pet obsession for you. It seems every other board nowadays is filled with either a) "we be dancing" b) a half-page-length pointless photo posted by one regular poster or c) your ongoing feud with Stinkray. He is a brat, no doubt. I think he's kind of funny now and then, and not near as bad as you make him out to be. I count on your vote come November. |

| Lewis_Cooper | Posted: Apr 07, 2011 - 07:19 Stingray You need to see them live, they are truely amazing and Bonnie Paine's (vocals, washboard, djembe, musical saw) voice is beyond compare, I kinda wish they would feature her more, sounds like Natalie Marchant but such a poweful vibrato and lilt to her voice. I found this song so engaging that I did buy the CD. I have to say that I find this song by far the best thing on the CD. The rest is very listenable, and I'm waiting to hear if it grows on me. One thing really bothered me: the CD came without lyrics for the songs. I have always been of the opinion that any band or artist who ships a CD without lyrics is telling me that the lyrics aren't worth listening to. For me, that means that neither is the artist worth my time. (I've never had the best hearing, and I really appreciate being able to read the lyrics while listening to a song). My .02. |

| AndrewKoransky (Salida, Colorado) | Posted: Feb 01, 2011 - 19:24 Wow.. seen these guys come through our little Colorado town a few times. An excellent group, and they very humble nice folks. This song gives me the chills when I hear it. My favorite track on the album. FYI... That weird instrument you hear at the beginning is actually a musical saw, not a synth...If memory serves, it was a carpenter's hand saw played with a violin bow. A haunting sound... Thanks to Bill and Rebecca for picking these guys up! |
