True that. She's got the kind of open-throat from-the-diaphragm style you rarely hear any longer.

Glad I somehow missed the saturation that others are complaining about - can enjoy her fresh.

Always nice to stay positive, but can't. Sorry. Sounds like the soundtrack for a car commercial.

Well, good for her! It's nice to hear a Dutch artist on an international radio station. We hear this particular song all the time in Holland, but it's a good start ;-). It's a shame people have to be so negative, even here where I imagine a lot of people who love a great variety of music 'come together'.

I support the creation of a new sub-genre: "swanky jazz". Who else is in there? Peggy Lee, Capitol era Frank, Melody Gardot, Madeleine Peyroux... who else?

Aaaarrggghhh, she's the so-called Dutch superstar. One of the very few that seem to make it outside of the Dutch borders. Good for her, not for me. Horrible fake person who acts as being nice but in fact is very arrogant. And the last few years she headlined every medium large festival her in the Netherlands.

Sigh, i'm so tired of hearing and seeing this woman...

Love the song so much I just downloaded an entire Ibiza journey into the night. Found Caro on a compilation http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003N0Z14Y/ref=dm_ty_alb_img?ie=UTF8&qid=1323030520&sr=301-2
or look it up as Ibiza Beats Vol 3  Makes me feel like I am dancing on the surf.
Thanks RP for the connection to this song and all the rest of your groovy beats you play throughout the day! Cheers!

The Wikipedia entry for this song (yes) says "...Caro Emerald songwriters David Schreurs and Vince Degiorgio were asked to write a track with a "60s feel" for a Martini vermouth advertisement campaign <...and this resulted and was rejected at first but then accepted for use in the ad>".

Now, this is tricky. Do you have to dislike the song now? What about it has changed? Hm.

Voices and styles like THIS make music a powerful force, and remind me that this whole show, from String Theory on up, is all about vibrations...and when it's so dig-able, like this, boy, am I glad of it!
