Great voice, writes her own songs, obviously very talented.

I almost liked this the first couple of times I listened, then got very bored very quickly on subsequent occasions.
Now I just want it to stop as soon as it starts. {#Stop} From other RP listeners' comments I can see I'm not alone...

What a strange song - some people absolutely love it, I can't define anything wrong with it, but it has the same effect on me as Chinese water torture!

There is no question that her voice is great but the song is a real snooze fest! A bit too formulaic.

I very rarely dislike strongly the music on RP, but this is an exception. Massively over played over here, and there's something about her voice that really makes my skin crawl...rather like the late (and unlamented, by me), Whitney Houston. Thanks for the PSD button, Bill!

SNL did a great skit not long ago about this song, with everyone standing around and sobbing.

This is probably the best pop album of 2011...it's that good! Well done Adele. Thanks Bill and Rebecca. {#Sunny}

She has an exceptional voice not needing any electronic enhancement, and writes her own stuff. In today's world of corporate McMusic and the X Factor (more like the 'why?' factor), those are two increasingly rare attributes which stick out like diamonds in a dungheap. I for one thank RP for playing Adele because I never listen to FM stations (mostly because they give me earache and raise my blood pressure unacceptably).

Maybe it's just a thing called "style."

There was a "Later with Jools Holand" episode this weekend that looked back on new/young acts of the past season.
He saved the best for last: Adele singing this live about a year ago.

A truly excellent performance.
Fantastic.
Probably better than the studio version.

Jools seemed proud when announcing her.

Ah, here is the video  (without the looking-back Jools).

When she hits those high notes, you can hear the strain on her voice. No wonder she just had to cancel her U.S. tour for the second time (due to vocal cord damage).

Yes. A poignant and moving song. From the Adele songs played on RP, I now know why folk rave about her. She's got some voice, right enough. 8 from the lachrymose Nottingham jury.

Adele is a breath of fresh air in that environment.  Yes she's "commercial", but her work elevates rather than degrades.  That alone is worth something.

That is probably accurate though I have no way of knowing for sure, I would never subject myself to commercial radio.{#Stop} I suppose that comparison is like a moderately attractive person hanging out with extremely ugly friends to make themselves look good by comparison.

The lyrics in this song move me soooo much.  Yeah, it's a "break-up" song, but the way she sings it is so moving.  I always belt it out in my car and tear up in the last verse.

I really don't get what the fuss is about. The lyrics to this are no deeper than the average pop-song... at least Rolling in the Deep has a half-decent tune...

If she's still singing in, say, 30 years, I bet she'll be phenomenal. By then she should have the life experience to put the emotions behind her amazing voice.
