![]() Follow Me Down (2011) [ larger cover art ] |
Follow me down through the cotton fields
Moon shadow shine bright the way you will
Lead us down a road where no one goes
We can run away
Come take my hand while I'm waiting here
Get away from it all and find what's real
If we don't get out now the chance won't reappear
We can run away
Hold me tight and don't let go
Sweet and soft no one will know
We can run away
I buried my heart in a willow tree
You came along, gave it back to me
Now we're creatures of the night,
We set each other free
Run away with me
Hold me tight and don't let go
Sweet and soft no one will know
We can run away
Lay with me down by the riverside
Stars in the sky shining in your eyes
We won't make a sound no one will be around
We can run away
Hold me tight and don't let go
Sweet and soft no one will know
We can run away
We can run away
We can run away
Moon shadow shine bright the way you will
Lead us down a road where no one goes
We can run away
Come take my hand while I'm waiting here
Get away from it all and find what's real
If we don't get out now the chance won't reappear
We can run away
Hold me tight and don't let go
Sweet and soft no one will know

We can run away
We can run away

| Soodonym | Posted: Sep 21, 2012 - 12:57 saw her at the Targhee Bluegrass Festival this summer- hearing her here on RP was a part of the impetus to go. After her band played, she joined David Grisman and company. Magical forest venue with the Grand Tetons as backdrop, the wonderful vibe of the crowd of all ages, most attendees camping in the meadow for the three day event... one of the best summertime outdoor music festivals... |

| fredriley (Nottingham, UK) | Posted: May 04, 2012 - 09:41 Bill pronounced her surname as "Ger-rose", a slight surprise to me as I'd expected "Ya-rosh". Is "Ger-rose" how she pronounces her name, anyone know? However it's pronounced, she's a fine singer going by this and other songs played on RP. As a poster remarked below, a talent to watch. 8 from the entranced Nottingham jury |
| jnesser | Posted: May 04, 2012 - 09:37 I like this song more every time I hear it. |
| guyA | Posted: Apr 29, 2012 - 05:02 Great - very meditative... |
| djengs | Posted: Apr 27, 2012 - 15:15 I was driving to Austin the other day and was listening to a broadcast from the Old Settlers Park Music Festival, and they had an interview and performance with her where she did this song very well. Turns out she has been coming to the festival since 2002, when she entered their youth talent competition which was open to performers under age 18. She was 10 at the time. And won. Given all that, she is still dedicated to her school training and the exposure to other elements it brings, not content to be pigeon-holed as a bluegrass or even a country artist. I look forward to much more incredible music from her, especially as she does not yet seemed destined for burnout. Just keeps getting better. |

| GawgaBoy (State of Confusion) | Posted: Jan 12, 2012 - 09:39 Saw her last night at the Melting Point in Athens, GA. Amazing show. She is AWESOME. The trio, with Nathaniel Smith and Alex Hargreaves in unbelievable ! If you have the chance, do NOT miss them. |
| gjones | Posted: Dec 30, 2011 - 08:14 Saw her at Garrison Keller " A Prairie Home Companion" St Michell Winery, WA this summer. She did this tune and blew me away! Young and moving up fast |
| bindi (North Carolina) | Posted: Dec 30, 2011 - 08:11 Love this! Sarah reminds me of a couple great voices - a little Alison Krauss and a little Mindy Smith. She has that great slightly nasal quality that Mindy Smith has that adds a lot of emotion. |
