In their early career, Thrice was a thrash/post-punk outfit.  They've changed their sound considerably (obviously).  But what hasn't changed is the first-rate songwriting by Dustin Kensrue.  I especially recommend Vheissu.

An interesting track. Initially thought it was Radiohead, although the vocals sound more like Chris Martin than Thom Yorke (listening at low volume here, so hard to tell).
