Blown away, blown away and waiting
Blown away and waiting on a fair wind
Sweeping through my window
Will you move me like you did once more?
Blown away, I'm blown away
Feeling everything, with you
Blown away, blown away and waiting
Blown away and waiting on...
I'm blown away, yet you're always with me still
You can say what you will now, but it's wrong
Is the love I give just a trinket to you?
Kept with all your playthings, and dreams that were new
Somewhere in a dream life that never comes true
If we can't dream it up again then what do we do?

| rdo (DC) | Posted: Nov 25, 2012 - 14:38 I am blown away. Sivert has made me re-calibrate my thinking about how I rate songs. And, maybe a bit more... |
| rvontha (Erie, PA) | Posted: Nov 25, 2012 - 14:38 Oh, I am digging this! |

| AndyJ (Oregon) | Posted: Oct 30, 2012 - 09:43 Add a surf-guitar and he's very close to sounding like Chris Isaac... |
| rdo (DC) | Posted: Oct 27, 2012 - 17:42 Normally I don't care how well someone sings, but this guy is causing me to rethink that. (I love his voice) |

| kurtster (Back in Ohiya, for now ...) | Posted: Aug 23, 2012 - 05:44 Its a beautiful song. If I rated it, it would be an 8. Its just not a song I wish to hear very often. So rather than a 2 or 3, no rating. |
| Vivian | Posted: Aug 12, 2012 - 00:18 This blew me away. Thank you beyond words. |
| Imkirok (The Arctic Hinter Land) | Posted: Jul 11, 2012 - 13:36 Had the sound on low in the background at the office. Heard this song start, realized it was Sivert, and immediately had to put on the headphones and turn it up. This guy's voice (and lyrics) is/are so emotive, haunting. Love it. |

| Sasha2001 (I can see Zabars from my window) | Posted: Apr 18, 2012 - 19:52 There seems to be a few different currents running through the treads to Hoyem's music. On the one hand listeners are in love with his voice, others are unimpressed with the quality of the songwriting , and a third group (not altogether different than the previous group) thinks his music has run it's course on RP. If indeed each of these camps is partially correct might it be possible to reduce his exposure by 1/3? I think that would be a fair and equitable solution. |
| rpdevotee | Posted: Apr 18, 2012 - 19:48 Monotonic, repetitive, annoying... Slow torture |

But with Jodi I turn it of immediately: her 'interesting verbal concoctions' are very irritating indeed! Sorry to differ. I think his voice is so beautiful and the songs showcase it. So I hope that RP keeps on playing him. (See, if I had my way, Joanie Mitchell would be banned. And that Canadian guy with the breathy, disgusting voice whose name I have blocked because he irritates me so much. But nobody listens to my opinion, either.) |

It's not boring at all when you delve into it and listen to it actively. Contrarily this song is a well polished diamond: no roughness here. You may well conclude that my distaste is a consequence of "passive listening". Not so, I'm afraid. I could likely sing you back most of the melody and a fair bit of the harmonies from memory. And I still find it boring. |

Just a bunch of nonsensical metaphors, loosely strung together, trying to make a rhyme here and there while he does his baratone warbling... A great voice, but It just doesn't work like this...
