This is almost a cool cover...

Bob Dylan has a brand new album out called Tempest...  for details about it, look here...

I don't slam much. But - c'mon, play the original, which is tremendous (and which has nothing to do w the chimes of freedom).

This version? Like food poisoning on a bad acid trip in a very scary third world cuidad.

Yes, I understand what you mean... I confess the horns are starting to actually sound good...  grumble grumble grumble...

Good stuff. I too cannot get it out of my head.
Not sure why they have Dylan on the cover of their album though.

This is on the very short list of worst crap heard on RP since I joined eight years ago. It's a cover parody, right? But Bill, you just described it without editorial remarks. I'm shocked and disappointed.

Personally, I think the song was pretty cool though, in its own right, regardless of comparisons with the original.

Bill Frisell has a new album out that is all jazz covers of John Lennon songs...  his album is called All We Are Saying...  I have heard a few cuts, and they sound yucky...  they are boring—  great music to listen to when you are trying to sleep...  but I am overall in awe of Bill Frisell and terribly disappointed with his new Lennon album...  here's some of Frisell's great stuff...  this is a Bob Dylan cover, from 1993—

Hmmm... I sense a strong disturbance in the force. It is as if a thousand "10" ratings are suddenly accompanied by a new vote a bit more in the middle.

(Check) No they haven't, the universe is safe for now. Wink

I don't often comment on the songs here.  I feel the need.  I actually like this.  I like it as much as the original maybe even more with time!
