I'm walking through streets that are dead
Walking, walking with you in my head
My feet are so tired, my brain is so wired
And the clouds are weeping
Did I hear someone tell a lie?
Did I hear someone's distant cry?
I spoke like a child; you destroyed me with a smile
While I was sleeping
I'm sick of love but I'm in the thick of it
This kind of love I'm so sick of it
I see, I see lovers in the meadow
I see, I see silhouettes in the window
I watch them 'til they're gone and they leave me hanging on
To a shadow
I'm sick of love; I hear the clock tick
This kind of love; I'm love sick
Sometimes the silence can be like the thunder
Sometimes I wanna take to the road and plunder
Could you ever be true?
I think of you
And I wonder
I'm sick of love; I wish I'd never met you
I'm sick of love; I'm trying to forget you
Just don't know what to do
I'd give anything to
Be with you
Walking, walking with you in my head
My feet are so tired, my brain is so wired
And the clouds are weeping
Did I hear someone tell a lie?
Did I hear someone's distant cry?
I spoke like a child; you destroyed me with a smile
While I was sleeping
I'm sick of love but I'm in the thick of it
This kind of love I'm so sick of it
I see, I see lovers in the meadow
I see, I see silhouettes in the window
I watch them 'til they're gone and they leave me hanging on
To a shadow
I'm sick of love; I hear the clock tick
This kind of love; I'm love sick

Sometimes I wanna take to the road and plunder
Could you ever be true?
I think of you
And I wonder
I'm sick of love; I wish I'd never met you
I'm sick of love; I'm trying to forget you
Just don't know what to do
I'd give anything to
Be with you
| Lazarus (Bethany) | Posted: Mar 04, 2013 - 18:00 Those horns are awesome... this is a dang good cover... love it... |
| Shesdifferent (Just visiting this planet) | Posted: Feb 01, 2013 - 10:11 I love this song but this is horrible. |
| stevieslo | Posted: Feb 01, 2013 - 10:11 c'mon folks...get outta your box...this is really pretty cool... |
| gypsyman (just passing through....) | Posted: Feb 01, 2013 - 10:10 Has anyone with a good voice ever covered Dylan? |
| (former member) (hotel in Las Vegas) | Posted: Oct 13, 2012 - 13:26 This is almost a cool cover... Bob Dylan has a brand new album out called Tempest... for details about it, look here... |
| (former member) (hotel in Las Vegas) | Posted: Sep 28, 2012 - 21:43 Okay, this is starting to sound pretty good... but I am still not rating it... grumble grumble grumble... |
| JIan (Phoenix, AZ, USA) | Posted: Aug 28, 2012 - 08:54 A 5 for the horns, but the rest of the song is killin' me! |
| Bobert_ParkCity (Actually, No longer in Park City Utah) | Posted: Jun 26, 2012 - 12:39 I don't slam much. But - c'mon, play the original, which is tremendous (and which has nothing to do w the chimes of freedom). This version? Like food poisoning on a bad acid trip in a very scary third world cuidad. |

| Shesdifferent (Just visiting this planet) | Posted: Jun 14, 2012 - 18:40 I love the Dylan version of this, well, I mean Dylan's original version....this guys version, well if your stuck in some foreign karoke bar maybe.... |

Heard it the other day, and haven't been able to get it out my head since. Yes, I understand what you mean... I confess the horns are starting to actually sound good... grumble grumble grumble... |
| akdavey (Playa del Rey) | Posted: Jun 14, 2012 - 18:39 Good stuff. I too cannot get it out of my head. Not sure why they have Dylan on the cover of their album though. ;-) |
| drife (Golden, CO) | Posted: Jun 14, 2012 - 18:34 Much to my dismay, this song is really growing on me. I really want to hate it, but I am starting to like it. Heard it the other day, and haven't been able to get it out my head since. |

| Seanson | Posted: May 25, 2012 - 16:02 Easy now. No need to be so serious b'y. |
| petesoper (Apex, NC) | Posted: May 18, 2012 - 19:42 This is on the very short list of worst crap heard on RP since I joined eight years ago. It's a cover parody, right? But Bill, you just described it without editorial remarks. I'm shocked and disappointed. |
| Poacher (Brighton, UK) | Posted: May 17, 2012 - 08:29 Fresh, Inventive, Quirky. What's not to like? 8 |
| rp1125 (nola) | Posted: May 08, 2012 - 14:33 Can we just call this the "Stick Your Head in the Oven Set" and be done with it already? |

| JavaJones (San Francisco, CA) | Posted: Apr 10, 2012 - 18:39 Hmm, good to hear these guys on here, but definitely not the best of their material in my view. Yeah, I know, I should upload something better... |

Me too - dire. |

Personally, I think the song was pretty cool though, in its own right, regardless of comparisons with the original. Bill Frisell has a new album out that is all jazz covers of John Lennon songs... his album is called All We Are Saying... I have heard a few cuts, and they sound yucky... they are boring— great music to listen to when you are trying to sleep... but I am overall in awe of Bill Frisell and terribly disappointed with his new Lennon album... here's some of Frisell's great stuff... this is a Bob Dylan cover, from 1993— |

It is as if a thousand "10" ratings are suddenly accompanied by a new vote a bit more in the middle. (Check) No they haven't, the universe is safe for now. ![]() |

| cupajoe (Delaware) | Posted: Feb 20, 2012 - 11:55 I don't often comment on the songs here. I feel the need. I actually like this. I like it as much as the original maybe even more with time! |

| misterbearbaby (Marina del Rey, California) | Posted: Feb 07, 2012 - 09:51 Extremely offbeat band- they are out there at like 5-sigma... I like 'em. |
| ferwoman | Posted: Feb 05, 2012 - 16:15 This album has great covers. I recommend it. |
| scraig (Santa Barbara, CA) | Posted: Feb 03, 2012 - 12:26 sounds forced to me. 3 |
