I was in the shower so I could not tell my nose was bleeding
Dripped down my body to the floor right below my feet
Looked in the mirror at my face, I thought I had a disease, yeah
And there's a woman with her fingers in my icebox
She peeked around the corner and asked me if I'm okay
She put the ice upon my tongue and then it melted away
Alright, oak floor, soft pine bedroom door, yeah
Speak easy, make her mine if she's bored, yeah
And there's a dry pine ceiling that is out of my reach
I woke up and my hands were gone, yeah
I looked down and my legs were long gone
I felt for her with my shoulder but there was nobody there
I thought she left a note, just a tag on the pillow there
And then I noticed there's a rag next to my ear
The clock was ringing but it wasn't nothing that I could hear, alright
Sometimes someone controls everything about you
And when they tell you that they just can't live without you
They ain't lying, they'll take pieces of you
And they'll stand above you
And walk away
Yeah, that's right, and take a part of you with them

| richlister (Here, there, pretty much everywhere.) | Posted: Jan 03, 2013 - 03:09 It's a little know fact that, 'Jack' loves to bake cakes after target practice where he regularly shoots 98.1% from the line. After that, he likes to check the stocks of cheese, as he can predict the price to within 0.1%. Then he retires to the studio to bang out some crackin' music. |

Or do you think that when people say something is "tighter than a gnat's ass over a rain barrel" or "slower than a snail on a salt block" they are actually referring to a real gnat or snail? If that's the case, then you are either an idiot or need to google the word "metaphor."
