The piano intro always tricks me into thinking this is Death Cab for Cutie...!

I finally found the correct lyrics to this song,
RP and every lyric web site has them wrong,
everyone has the song by The National titled "Slow Show" posted instead of
"Falling Slow" by The Slow Show

.
 Black another eye to show
Please don't tell me what I know
I'm falling slow

Torrid times highs and lows
but who's to know
I'm falling slow

Crush another finger but it's numb
a sign of what's to come
smash another picture we once won
It looks silly now you're gone
I'm holding on

All the times we cried
I'm sorry that I lied
I
'm sorry that I've spoken sorry that I've spoke

All the times we cried
I'm sorry that I lied
I'm sorry that I've spoken I'm sorry that I said goodbye...

sorry that I said goodbye

First verse really pulled me in. I've been alone at a party or a bar, drinking a little too much "punch", where everything around you is incomprehensible din.

Yes, interesting tune.  I like the arrangement, and the cover design is intriguing, as someone noted earlier.

They don't exactly match The National's eponymous masterpiece, but quite nice anyway.

IMO the stomping start promises more than it delivers. Nice enough, perhaps a grower, but not one to stick in the mind, at least yet.
