yes, the voice keeps me from enjoying the song or rating it higher than 3. I hate men crying when they are singing...

I couldn't agree more with myself...in fact I've dropped this track all the way down to 1-Sucko-barfo - it's a mean trick when a pop song is so close to being enjoyable and then the vocals ruin it (IMHO of course)

Why? Dunno, except he comes from Brighton. England, just like my neighbor.

Exactly. And they (along with Paulo Nutini) are all full grown men but sound like fourteen year-olds who have breathed helium. Very unique.

I thought it may have been Tracy Chapman's younger sister.  The music sounds like something by Hootie & The Blowfish or Blues Traveler.
