I don't hate the Doors but often times I'm just not in the mood to hear them and then they are annoying as hell.

I totally agree.  Such a bad sound...and such a rabid following!  I'm always straining to hear something deep and meaningful when I hear a Doors song come on because I assume I've missed something and eventually I'll get it.  But no, nothing.  Songs are as vacuous as Jim Morrison's soul.

The only Doors song I've ever heard that's actually entertaining to listen to. Jim Morrison's half-drunk bad lounge-singer voice is perfect for the instrumentals and overall theme.  Sounds like something you'd hear in the Blue Room Lounge at the Holiday Inn outside of Fresno in the late 70's.  You can play this one again, Bill.  Keep the rest of the insipid, drolling Doors repertoire to yourself, thanks.

People that don't like The Doors are the STRANGE ones!  Just kidding (mostly) - to each their own!

Those same strange people actually like this band. I'm baffled. Jim Morrison...an overrated lyricist and vocalist. Unique though...I'll give him that. No one in the world sounds like him.

Did he pull out his bird to see how it looked in the spotlight?

Saw Weird Al last night and he nailed the Doors sound and look perfectly.  I've always liked the Doors, but Weird Al was solid with his parody of them.

Every time I think I've met every type of person and human oddity there is, I meet another nutter with a completely different screw loose. We all have our foibles, but I do wish more people wouldn't be so keen to share theirs with the rest of us.
