I do like them I demoed them side by side with a pair of Sonus Faber (in my house) and like the Focals overall. The Sonus Faber sounded better with pure acoustic (strings and wood) music. I ran B&Ws for years but sold those to a buddy. The 926 has a aluminum/mag tweeter with a Poron Urethane suspension. Some people think this tweeter is to harsh. The next step up, Kanta Series, you get into the BE tweeter. They had not even come out with the Kanta series when I bought the 926 but I proly could not afford the Kantas anyway. KANTA

The guy i bought my Velodyne from was selling it because the same reason, I think he shared a wall. I have often thought if I ever downsized to a condo I would have to dump my system and retool for headphones.

Using a 2nd gen AppleTV to stream Lossless RP now but that's a hack at best. Really hoping the Sonos capability comes through.
Everybody has there own needs but its funny what has happened to me over the years. I went on a trip with some guys recently and there was about 5 of us in this condo. One of the guys brought this little blue tooth speaker box and fired that thing up, after about 10 minutes I was thinking "Jesus turn that piece of sh!t off!!"
When we moved into our present place, I bought an APC UPS / power conditioner for designed for AV needs. It was one of the best things I did for improving both the sound through the stereo and picture quality of the TV. Picture quality was one thing, but the improvement in the sound was stunning.

what will be the bitrate of this Flac stream ? if it's 1,400 , it will make a hell of a large download.... if it's 700-800 vbr it won't be too bad. Anyway, I phoned my ISP and took the unlimited plan, so I'm ready for it. Time for another donation... ( damn Canadian money, we loose quite a lot when we make a donation.)

And i concur, take a step up from streaming s$#t through your phone to some cheap bluetooth speaker....or whatever. Go the used route...there is a lot of good equipment available that can be had for a fraction of the retail cost.

Thanks Bill, I'll keep an eye out for a CCA solution. I've also tried to put LMS on a Synology NAS but I can't get it to work. I can only instal LMS version 7.7.6, and the RP FLAC stream seems to need a later version than that.

Hi Bill... There are some streams at 700 VBR FLAC , they sound almost as good as a 1,400kbps stream . No real need for a 1,400 kbps Flac stream in my opinions, but those who own a good sound system , with ASIO, kernel streaming or Wasapi would be very happy to have a nice surprise :-) So if someone want R.P. in Flac , they can connect a USB DAC to their android usb , apple or tablet and output with the DAC. At least , give us OGG/Vorbis at 320 vbr , or OPUS 320 vbr . ( Variable Bit Rate) AAC lack some bass and richness.

Hi Bill. Excited about flac. I’m currently using Roon to send out to my 2 separate streamers (Naim and Auralic). Will it be possible to play Flac in the future using this system?
Cheers and thanks again for doing all the DJ’n for me.

The FLAC stream sounds incredible!!! Streaming from my phone to the Sonore Ultrarendu via Shairport. Sounds much better than the 320. This is a welcome addition to anyone with a world class speaker or headphone setup. Thx RP!!!

Is there any chance that we might see Opus streams in the future? A 96Kbps Opus stream would be awesome.

I just noticed the FLAC option on Android app as well as Amazon Fire TV app, and was pleasantly surprised. Thank you very much! I see that FLAC option on web player is coming soon.
Can you please also make a FLAC "Stream Link" available? - I currently play "320K AAC stream link" in Linux using Clementine. I noticed that you said that it is a bit complicated. If that is not feasible, some other way to play FLAC in Linux will be much appreciated.
Thanks!
Sorry. There isn't a stream link for FLAC. Not at this point, anyway.
