C'mon, c'mon

Something's in the water
Besides a moon that dont know when to quit
Spine waits to feel the shiver
Right now deals with a great lack of it

Way up in the high desert,
Or down in anywhere france
Trains were built to remedy
Tracks laid out, at least give us half a chance

To deliver
Deliver
Deliver a shiver

Forget age and well like some treasured splendor
With words just so strong and a touch just so tender
Is it better off beyond description?
Left alone in a dark room with a mouth full of prescription

Unable to deliver, unable to understand
The deliver of shiver

So you take your time
And you take your leave
Ready to do without
Ready to recieve

Never mind, gonna find good love down by the river
Might as well find your spine
The shiver

There's something in the water besides a moon that don't know when to quit

C'mon and deliver
C'mon and deliver
The shiver

Ooooh, I'm the coolest, because I've been listening to this band since they were called Sidewinders, Whoops, my own bad ... Sandrubies were the Sidewinders. I thought that the Sandrubies became Giant Sand... but apparently, um, not. Anyway, for those who really want to know: https://www.upstairsfilm.com/highanddry/
I really like this song. I do, I do. S * H * I * V * E * R
I'm glad someone came up with this band. All that small sand was just really starting to grate, you know?

I think it's that "between California and Texas" hodgepodge. Don't believe it's fake, just not the same as yours.
Dang, I must be typing out loud again!

You got it, MrMan! :-) Nice to see somebody else up on those two bands. Some of Tucson's finest for all your listening pleasure. Unfortunately, not their best by far. Just a decent tune from an excellent band.
I hadn't listened to Giant Sand since they were called Giant Sandworm... Got this mp3 from Amazon's free downloads section and played it about 100 times over and over... kazuma wrote:
This guy's fake C&W accent is worse than Mick Jagger's.

Really nice song. The lead vocal sounds a lot like one of my favorites, Josh Ritter. Sounds a lot like him.

I was just wondering if there was any Giant Sand on the RP playlist...these guys have been putting out one amazing album after another for damn near 20 years...and this is from one of their best. Thanks for playing it!!!

Any Calexico derivative is quite alright for me!
Doesn't it sound like Joey Burns?

Until the chorus, I thought this was Calexico.
