“Percy “Thrills” Thrillington” was the pseudonym used by Paul McCartney to release in 1977 the instrumental version of RAM that was recorded 6 years before in 1971.

If you dig this tune and the Ram album in general, do yourself a favor and check out that Thrillington album - it's an absolute blast.

I believe this is one of the greatest examples of the whole being greater than the sum of their parts.  On their own, the members of the Beatles made alright music; but as a group they were transcendental.

A truly great album.  A little Beatles style still lingering, but none of the pop influences exhibited in his later years with Wings.

I think this is the first and last McCartney album that my dad bought when I was a wee lad (and now that he had 2 kids, I think record purchases were no longer in their budget). I loved it, while he wasn't into anything but his Beatles stuff. I have a soft spot for this album, and also The White Album and Abbey Road, which I heard a lot of while in the womb!

I was 11 or 12 when a classmate of mine in 6th Grade invited me over to his house. His older sister had just gotten this new record, and we all thought it was amazing, especially the lyrics. It was the beginning of my appreciation of just how vital Paul was to Music.

Paul: Most talented Beatle. Loved his music since '82 hearing him on MTV when I didn't even know he was a "Beatle" or who the Beatles were. If radio stations played George's music for 24 hours straight when he died, they sure as heck better play Paul for 24 days when he does.

Please - she could not sing. Period. I mean, God bless her and the fun and enjoyment out of life that her and Paul got, but I have heard that tape and it's hideous. I have nothing against her (or Yoko), for that matter, but unfortunately, she really had no vocal talent.

Yes I've heard it but I didn't hink it was funny. If you've ever worked concert sound, or sung onstage you recognize what's going on on that tape immediatley. She can't hear herself in the monitor. Linda always got a bad rap, more so because people wanted scapegoats (Linda & Yoko) to blame for the Beatles break up, than anything else, IMO. Always thought this was a fun little song. Still is. Paul doesnt need to be judged by his Beatles toons all the time. His solo stands fine on its own. Its only music after all.
