I can't take much DMB, to be honest.  It reminds me of all the bland radio fare of 1996-1997.  It was like a neverending rotation of this, Hootie, Building A Mystery, and Lovefool.
 
Whatever happened to Hootie & The Blowfish anyway?  Back in 1996 all the stations seemed to be convinced they were the next coming of Pink Floyd or something, then by the 2000s they were never played anymore, like at all.

My mind is instantly taken back to when I saw them live in the Woodlands (north of Houston). The girl I was with whom I should have tried a little harder to be more than friends, the great opening act (Meshell Ndegeocello), and walking to the men's room past the 20min line to the women's room (hah!)

I just saw the DVD of DM and Tim Reynolds at Radio City Music Hall. It was very good. Check it out if you get the chance. Also read the liner notes. That'll break your heart.

Seems like a severe case of love it or hate it. I'm surprised that no one gave it a 4 or a 5 given the average rating. I gave it a 7, but that's my standard rating for anything I can sing along to that isn't obnoxiously repetitive.

This song makes my head hurt so badly that it is hard to determine which aspect of this song is more excruciating: the awful atonal whining (and I usually like atonal whining (e.g., Neil Young)) or the horrendously off-beat beats (esp., "crash . . . in-to-me . yeah"). Horrid!

Had to give this one a five. The score is more for RP than for the tune. Good tune, but I can hear this anywhere on the radio dial. I listen to RP to hear stuff that doesn't get airplay other places.

This darn song is slowly growing on me, but for the most part I don\'t understand the attraction to DMB. I sorta liked them for awhile, till I got one of their CD\'s and actually listened to it. Musically they\'re decent, but I don\'t like Dave. His voice bothers me, and I\'m not sure about his lyrics.

This seems to be a band that\'s got the sort of following who love them anyway. But a real good band is also able to attract people who aren\'t necessarily fans, like me. And there\'s little I found really attractive about Dave Matthews\' songs \'till now. His and the band\'s great musical abilities doesn\'t mean they make dito songs.
