Ahhh... I really love this song. Brings back great memories of a certain time in my life. And I think it's really well-written and performed; Alanis shows more restraint in this than many of her others songs from this era.

I know lots of people hate Tori Amos. I understand why one may feel that way... but I still love Tori... most of the time.

Saw her on Paladia a few years back. Quite the stage presence and very open with her audience. Great voice when used properly. And that's the problem, she sometimes goes over the top.
I thought this was a recent release... hearing it often on WNCW in NC, which we can get clearly here in Greenville, SC. As the pull down menu says, "quite likeable."
This song came along to me at a very raw, open and grateful time in my life and brought me to tears. Not an Alanis fan per se, but this song alone (well, in addition to its amazing video) makes me love her and if I saw her I'd just give her a big hug and thank her 4 it!
It's a few years old now, but this piece is a hilarious and devastating takedown of the prolix little pill's crimes against songwriting.

Clear articulation is not a flaw, but a rare gift!
I like her voice. She doesn't have the voice of an angel, or anything, but its quirkiness is what makes it appealing. The non-perfection is really a part of the un-Diva movement of the 90s fem-folk scene. The idea that female artists don't have to be bombshells or have the vocal chords of a god to be allowed to perform.
