Interesting - I've checked your comments and find a very good correlation with my tastes - except for JJ, who I seriously rate, along with his influencees like Mark Knopfler. An acquired taste I suppose. Each to his own, but I wonder what it is that doesn't click for you?

Love super compact songs as much as I love those that stretch out forever.  The three-minute song can be great, of course, but it's like having to write an essay with an introduction, 3 paragraphs, and a conclusion.  Same goes for abacab.  Why?
I don't know any bowlegged gypsy muleskinners, but I sure want to......

This is not the first time that I've read that everybody in a hotel room like a particular song currently playing on RP {#Laughing}

Heard Dire Straits & thought of JJ Cale,,,,,& here he is!
JJ's second, love the whole album
"Lies" is real good
So so so MISS Mr. J.J.  A man who was so appreciated by me and many, of that I am sure, but who did not get the great credit he deserved for his amazing influence on the blues and heartland sound.

too accessible for me, too bubblegummy.  2
Lush spareness.
Very sad to lose JJ - what a songwriting genius
RIP JJ.  Enjoy the ride home.  Time to listen to all my records again.

I get the theme, Bill. I'M HOME!

Aren't we all trying to get back home, Jojo?
I notice 30 of JJ's tracks in the RP library --- barely scratches the surface. JJ makes music for the ages.
Very cool. Nice silent film/saloon sounding piano in the background, it adds to the mood.
Cool and soulful
