He's got the best of me.
It's such a price to pay.
He's got the best of me.

See, I have been thinking it over.
It's all just a little too much.
You see I have got a four-leaf clover.
It's gotta bring a little luck.
Yeah, uh huh
Yeah, uh huh

So I let go of all of the big deals.
I let go of the bitter dream.
You see the girl in the pretty white picture.
Well it's never what it really seems.
Yeah, Oh,
uh huh
Yeah, uh huh

My mind is always racing,
And my body's on overload.
You've got my heart in the middle of a feeling.
I've got no place to go.
Yeah, Oh
uh huh

See, I've been thinking it over
It's all just a little too much
You see I've got a four-leaf clover
It's gotta bring a little luck

I'm running but I've got nowhere to be.
But I'm all right

Said I'm running, but it's got the best of me,
But it's all right.

Cause see, I've been thinking it over.
It's all just a little too much.
You see I've got a four-leaf clover.
It's gotta bring a little luck.

Yeah

Said I've been thinking it over.
Yeah
It's all just a little too much.
Yeah
You see I've got a four-leaf clover.
Yeah
It's gotta bring a little luck.
Yeah

Said, I've been thinking it over.
It's all just a little too much.
Said I've got a four leaf clover.
It's gotta bring a little luck.

This is a bitchen' lil' tune!
Save it for later
Don't run away and let me down
Sooner or later
You hit the deck, you get found out
Catchy hook.  Bubble gum, but I like it.
Abra,  mmmmm sweet Abra-ca-dabra  -  "poof!"  I'm back in 1996 and sitting at the base of Abra's patio chair, resting my head on her soft lap and caressing her silky long legs, mmmmm

Day-am - I HAVE this CD! Been a long time since I listened to it - guess I'll have to trot it out and put it in my Sidekick's stereo... Thanks for the memory-jog, RP!  Abra Moore is just good for the ears.

Yeah, I'm quoting romeotuma.  You got a problem with that?! {#Music}

Miss you so much, Cynaera...  everybody in my mushrooming multitude of alien space crafts loves this groovy song...  we be dancing cross-eyed and buck naked like Willy Shakes...  love sex, drugs, and rock 'n roll...
such a great pop song, even after all these years ... still brings more sunshine into the room

"Smiles everyone!  Smiles!!"

Repetition can be boring, or it can build into something greater - like an orgasm!
This song builds : /) )
dig it. high volume friendly..
I wasn't familiar with this artist until this morning; I initially thought it was a new Tanya Donelly track.
How nice to hear this, one of the first songs I bought on iTunes after hearing it here on RP.
Haven't heard this in AGES!

I have always enjoyed this poppy little number:  it has a good beat & it's easy to dance to.

Haven't heard this song since it was in rotation on the radio back in '96. Thanks, RP.
Power Poppy!

Man I love Power Pop!

It seems that we have here now "kind" of "discs orders," without wanting to seem. If this is the "lever" to present here new "singers", do not know where the playlist will stop. The eclectic also has limits.
Why not too WAR TAPES, CHRISOPHER BLUE, SENSATION UNKIES, SHANEBARTELL, AIRPUSHERS, LISBETHSCOTT, TRACHTENBURG FAMILY SLIDESHOW PLAYERS, catalog sarathan records. Whether it is for disgrace, it is for disgrace. By this way, why not create a parallel "radio P.for teens & babysitter".

Thanks Bill! I haven't heard this in forever.  Sort of a summertime song, which is nice on this overcast, cool day!
I see that I'm going to have to upload more Abra Moore to RP.
Great song. Great songs remind me of great times. They always seem to go together somehow.
This is always the first song to come up on my ipod since I never got around to alphebetizing AM's entry by last name. I hear it - or at least the first part of it - probably more than any other song ever recorded. I always liked this whole CD but she seems to have dropped off the recording planet.... Anybody know what happened to her? Guess I could probably find her on wikipedia.....
Goodness, I remember when WXRT here in Chicago used to play this ALL the time when it came out.
Wow, I haven't heard this in forever. Brings back a lot of memories.

Another reason to miss Austin TX :(

I agree, when they're resting on the sweetness alone it can be really boring.  Sweet voices with some element of edge or sophistication can be great though, juliana hatfield and kim deal comes to mind.

Neko Case anyone?
This song is already 14 years old?!  8-O

I absolutely love the song "happiness" from this album...

I likee
Haven't heard this in ages... though either I don't remember it all that well or this is a different mix than was played on the radio back in the day...
I was gonna say that, too. Massive headcold?
Bill!  You sounds sick!  Get to bed.
This one comes in, puts up its feet, pops a beer and stays awhile.  Good thing I like it...
...wow - it's been ages since i've heard this and suddenly my ears are parsing the melody and chord progression in an entirely different light...

How could ANYONE tire of sweet-voiced girls?

This one just grabbed me by the ears and got my attention.  I like!  I like!

I agree wholeheartedly. This stuff is getting old.

(Excelsior? What? Physicsgenius and Tux were much more entertaining and talented trolls than Excelsior ever was, and Tux was kind enough to keep his hacking restricted to his 'mute script'.)

Less than five years for a request to be filled. Better than my record. You have connections.

I remember buying this album soon after this single came out.  Pretty sure it got traded in at the record store the next visit.  Taste great, but less filling... :)
