What is the point with the vocal effects?Somebody drag that producer out back and smash his fingers. This has a thin,artificial propped up feel to it. The good percussion is wasted. That ,the main vocals and the snappy acoustic would have made for a tight sound.

I saw her perform this song in front of Boston City Hall in a show that opened with Jen Trynin and closed with Leo Kottke. Patty's guitar chops were just awesome - she's easily one of the finest players around. This whole album is fabulous - some truly beautiful music.

The rest of the song ranges from Acceptable to Pretty Good but the "the book I'm not reading" is so repetitive and hard to understand (in both senses) I have to rate this as Marginal.
