As long as we’ve been together
You keep asking me why I love you
No, it wasn’t true what I told you

When I first saw you
Remember that dress you had?
That cotton dress you had?
I said it was so beautiful, beautiful
And that’s what attracted me to you
What I told you wasn’t true

Your lips, your lips, your lips, your lips are juicy
Mmmm
Your lips, your lips, your lips, your lips are juicy
Mmmm

You’re my Louisiana plum
Your lips are Louisiana plums
The color of a Louisiana plum
They glow at night

Your lips, your lips, your lips, your lips are juicy
Mmmm
Your lips, your lips, your lips, your lips are juicy
Mmmm

This makes me want to lounge outside in the sun wearing sunglasses and sipping a cocktail with a pink umbrella in it.
What a fun song, thank you for digging up these hidden gems, RP!  Being from Louisiana, I can attest that indeed our lips and plums are both juicy!
Radio Paradise is juicy...

"father of rapper Nas."

HOLY CRAP!  Now this is why I support RP, for tidbits like this!  I would ask for a cut from Nas' first album, but I know hip hop is forbidden on RP....  :)

Back in the day KPIG kept this in heavy rotation for a long while.  Great smiley song about being stupid in love.  We've all been there, if we're lucky.

It's not Grey's Anatomy
I thought he was saying "Louisiana swamp"
First time I'm hearing this song and I love it! I see a lot of hate in the comments though which I don't get. It's fun, silly, catchy and happy. If that bothers you hit forward.
Heard it once.  That was enough.

Before you say it;  its ok for me to not like a song, just like its ok for you to like it.  RP wants to know if i like their choices so they can decide what to play. Now do you understand?

Not a bad tune but it sounds a bit too much like "A Pillow of Winds" by Pink Floyd.

Oh my.
There is only ONE TUNE by him on the RP playlist.  PLEASE ADD MORE TUNES!!  Thank You!
so wich lips is he talking about exactly ?    {#Propeller}

Why the scorn in the Ratings for this?! Don't you guys know that's how you talk to a woman! Smooth, smooth, smooth. He ain't talkin' to you, lol...

I AGREE!
I love this, so joyful. Wasn't it the sound track of Offspring or something?
Why the scorn in the Ratings for this?! Don't you guys know that's how you talk to a woman!? Smooth, smooth, smooth. He ain't talkin' to you, dudes...

This song is stupid. But I say that with a smile on my face. Though its stupid I kind of like it.

I agree! Stupid, but really good!
Juice-ayyy!
Always makes me smile.
Ho hum.
Dude's jammin' and I'm twirlin' in the kitchen.
XoXo
This is just weird. Someone gave up half way through transcribing the lyrics too - I can see why
What else to say except = mmm JUICY
Here's some help with the lyrics:  "Your lips, your lips, your lips are juicy."

I really like this!

From Musixmatch.com, and obviously incomplete:

Mmm-hmm!
You're my Louisiana plum.
Your lips are Louisiana plums.
The color of a Louisiana plum—they glow at night!
Your lips, your lips, your lips, your lips are juicy.
Your lips, your lips, your lips, your lips are juicy.
Mmm-hmm!

According to Wikipedia, he is the father of Rapper Nas.
Harlem Country Girl is my favorite song from this album. Love the cornet on these tracks!
This song is stupid. But I say that with a smile on my face. Though its stupid I kind of like it.
Apropos of vectors, born Charles Jones III across the river from Ferriday, Louisiana (home of cousins Mickey Gilley, Jerry Lee Louis, Jimmy Swaggart) in Natchez, Mississippi; 1941. Father to rapper Nas, who seems popular with the kiddies.

Oh boy....I want to respond with something rather dirty...instead, I'll say:  Long live RP!!
whole album is delightful, long time since I've heard it

Don't give me any of your LIP!

{#Lol}

Need a lyricist. Other wise nice!

I had to look to see if this is one I uploaded.  It is on an old Oxford American compilation from which I have uploaded others. Fun song.

I hate HATERS! This song is not for everyone, but I really don't understand the vitriol spewed so freely about a song as joyful and carefree as this one... not to mention the awesome horn played throughout! Folks, it's only music, not Democrats and Republicans!. Take a deep breath, relax, and you just might find something you like about this song....., or not, but maybe hate it just a bit less?
If it weren't so repetitive and low-brow it'd be okay.
Sigh. No. Thanks.
Defintely a song for bar dancing, group singing and going round and round, as the next song suggests. Not so great for other contexts.
This song... This song.... This song.... is annoying.

PLEASE...dump this trash in the garbage and move on to something else. Man, nothing brings my day to a scretching halt like this song. My lips are saying " Bye Bye"
This is a fun/happy song and always brings a smile to "my lips". Just because you don't like it doesn't mean that RP should dump it to keep you happy. I'm sure I could ask the same of alot of your favorites, but I won't. This is Radio Paradise, not RadioCBSPORTS. Thank goodness!!!

You know, it's not the best song in the world. But if your at, let's say a bar and this song is playing in the courtyard in July, and it's about 2 in the morning, and you're dancing with someone you are way too drunk to go home with. It's not so bad then.
Amen. If I hear this song once every weekend on RP, that would be dandy. Keep it playin' here, Bill.

geez, I hate this song
Great song and great CD
Very fun. Some people don't want any lip, and this guy does and says so.
