Incredibly catchy! Killer bass; ~what a groove~! I can still remember hearing this on KBCO my last semester as an undergrad at CU... Psych Furs, The Cure, The Smiths, R.E.M., T-Heads, U2.; great tunes to party to!

Good to hear GP again.  Last saw him when I was working the sound board for sound check at The Hollywood Bowl when he was touring with John Hyatt.  This was early 80's when John Hyatt was considered 'New Wave'.  How times have changed.

This is a 4, I say. As for the 80's quality of this song, I would find the 80's pretty hard pressed to even find room for this one. They're pretty steeped in this kind of material already.

Graham Parker was unfortunately overshadowed by performers like Elvis Costello and Joe Jackson (who both are excellent musicians and song writers themselves). Thus he unfortunately never received much airplay.
