Blind before my head turned to the ones I love,
Blind, to the ones I love,
I will lift my head up to the ones I love,
We'll shine with the ones we love,
This blind disease has hurt so many times before
...This blind disease has hurt so many times

Her reach for her, Her reach for her,
She long for my prayer.
My better love shown in the raging kind,
She long for my prayer, She long for my baby,
I got love for her, she's my raging sign,
This blind disease has hurt so many times before

I'll take my step, Back into me,
My better love shown, In faith I do believe.
Choked up my pawn, Move along my queen,
She love my prayer, Safety of my king. This blind

disease has hurt, so many times before,

This blind disease has hurt, so many

times before I got to my highest point

Lovers & friends, My hurt is gone, Been hoping to find my way,
Hands of light will come, To uncrystalize our fear,
Cause in faith I do believe, Cause in faith I do believe,
Cause in faith I do believe

Her reach for her, Her reach for her

Robert Plant-ish in a good way.
Star Trek peek-a-boo face palm

No, Jean-Luc: it's worse than that.

If I had to listen to the rest of the album after this track, I'd shoot myself.

Bill, five years between plays is not enough time. The half-life on this radioactive turd has to be at least 2 decades.

Well, more like feels like it (sorta).

Then again, it also sounds kinda like Jethro Tull (in the "Benefit" era) cut the basic tracks, and then Jefferson Airplane came in and did the backing vox, too.

All in all, I like the results (no matter how it was done.).

Sounds kinda like a rusty Plant, as in Robert.

i met him, too. and he was a total jackass. i guess it depends on his mood.

It's just an album cover.
Been done in the 70s,
and in the 60s,
and probably earlier too.

Nivana too
Great album.

I had to wipe the dust off of it about 4 or 5 times, and then one day I was like, WOW!  this is a good album.

Hee! Maybe I used to like this band because I was drinking more caffeinated beverages back then.

Interesting piece. A little bailalaika, a little folk, a little medieval rythum section.
I post both because I agree with you and because the word is spelled rhythm.

... I thought it was an adult with rusted roots...
The lead singer's voice reminds me of the goat boy character from SNL https://members.tripod.com/~goat30/goatboyE.jpg
The lead singer is the love child of David Byrne and Cher.
Lyme disease?I've had Lyme disease. It's not that bad, I don't know why he's crying.
Gotta admit that the vocal vibrato is a bit annoying....
Tiny Tim has come back from the Dead

My God this is awful!
i'll take anything i can get from RR. not many other groups i can say that about.

That seems to be the MO for a Rusted Root album. One good song and a whole lot of dreck.

Anyone else think the lead singer sounds a bit like David Eugene Edwards (lead singer of Sixteen Horsepower)? Thank you, i was racking my brain until you pointed this out! but a 16hp reference is not a bad thing in my book. (although the crach test dummies guy is in there too...) this guy's even more dramatic though, but the songs is good!
I WAS THINKING HE SOUNDS A LITTLE LIKE THE GUY FROM THE KILLERS.

Gosh....I just luuuuv this song. RR can just make me move like few can, instantaniously! Cant...stop...moving...now...
Not at all bad. Different and enjoyable. I would have said new and refreshing, although the tune has been around for a while. Another worthy intriduction by RP. Thank you kindly.

We're all agreed then? CHER meets That guy from CRASH TEST DUMMIES? Actually I like RR... An 8.
At least it is a bit better than that stupid "be my laaaaaadeeeeeee" song.
Make it STOP!!
My theory is that the lead singer's father is (was) Tiny Tim... (Tip toe through those tulips!)

Not too bad. Better than most of their stuff. I just have a hard time with this guy's vocals. His vibrato grates on my nerves.
His voice has definitely grown on me... like hives or herpies. I can't help but cringe when I hear him now. Note that I really like the band and if he didn't clober their efforts (available on few select tracks of theirs) it would be awesome. Unfortunately, his voice is linked and is definitely sucko-barfo for me. Bummer.

Nope, it is Elmer Fudd.
I know a person who sounds just like the lead singer of Rusted Root. His name is Elmer Fudd.
I really like his vocals a lot. I feel they have a lot of emotion. I'd like to hear more Rusted Root. I know a guy, sounds just like him. We jam out sometimes, and it's always fun.

Mike's voice got on my nerves in the beginning, but it definitely grows on you after a while. You HAVE to see them in concert...they're absolutely amazing!!! I've seen them 14 times (no lie!) - there are very few acts I'd pay to see that many times.
I just saw them last Friday and I was completely blown away. I honestly don't think I've ever been at a show with that much energy—both on the stage and in the crowd. The next day I was buying up Rusted Root songs on my iTunes left and right. I think I'm officially hooked.

You might like a song where Mike's not on vocals. Maybe "Moon"?
Mmmm... so good. Takes a listen or two, but its worth it.
Annoying.
