I want to ride the tiger
I want to ride the tiger
It will be black and white in the dead of night
Eyes flashing in the clear moonlight
I want to ride the tiger.

It's like a tear in the hands of a western man
Tell you about salt, carbon and water
But a tear to a chinese man
He'll tell you about sadness and sorrow or the love of a man and a woman.

I want to ride the tiger
I want to sail through the risin' sun for you and you
We got something to learn from the other side
Something to give, we got nothing to hide
I want to ride the tiger.

Black wants out of the streets
Yellow wants the country
Red wants the country back
And white wants out of this world
Sing - sing to the sky
I want to ride the tiger
I want to ride the tiger.

Look to the summer of seventy-five
All the world is gonna come alive
Do you want to ride the tiger?

It's like a tear in the hands of a western man
Tell you about salt, carbon and water
But a tear to an oriental man
He'll tell you about sadness and sorrow or the love of a man and a woman.

Rocking song from an album I got turned onto at E-School parties (along with Blows Against The Empire)! They were singing about Riding the Tiger, or rising again in 1975, a Year of The Tiger in the Chinese Zodiac, and I was inspired by their enlightened optimism.

Huh.  Weird.
Reminds of a troubled period in my life, where the music of Jefferson Airplane & Starship helped me through, can't forget that, I'll support them with an 8   {#Smile}

Well CoJo...finally got your wish!  And apparently not many like this cut, me half included.  The guitar kicks ASS and the entire RocknRoll vibe is great, and to me it's proof that lyrics don't always mater (although I'm sure there is a meaning to "ride the tiger") - I'm rating it an 9 for the music and 5 for the singing/lyrics/violin = respectful 7!
Last play: Aug 17, 2001. First play in nearly 16 years!
I guess this is OK to hear once in while. On to 2033 for the next time?
oy - was pretty rockin' for abit, then that stinky squeeling violin sent me straight to psd land
My ears have looked but can find nothing here to recommend this.  It's not for me, sorry.  PSD ....
Fucking awful.
Would love to hear songs from BLOWS AGAINST THE EMPIRE.
Would be nice to honor Paul Kantner, who passed into The Higher Realm a week ago, by playing this jamming song. Ride the Tiger!
