Brushfire fairytales
Itsy bitsy diamond wells
Big fat hurricanes
Yellow bellied given names
Well shortcuts can slow you down
And in the end we're bound
To rebound off of we

Well dust off your thinking caps
Solar powered plastic plants
Pretty pictures of things we ate
We are only what we hate
But in the long run we have found
Silent films are full of sound
Inaudibly free

Slow down everyone
You're moving too fast
Frames can't catch you when
You're moving like that

Inaudible melodies
Serve narrational strategies
Unobtrusive tones
Help to notice nothing but the zone
Of visual relevancy
Frame-lines tell me what to see
Chopping like an axe
Or maybe Eisenstein should just relax

Slow down everyone
You're moving too fast
Frames can't catch you when
You're moving like that

Well Plato's cave is full of freaks
Demanding refunds for the things they've seen
I wish they could believe
In all the things that never made the screen
And just slow down everyone
You're moving too fast
Frames can't catch you when
You're moving like that
Slow down everyone
You're moving too fast
Frames can't catch you when you're moving like that
Moving too fast

God, how lame that is.
I only wish JJs melodies were inaudible
Haha, so much negative energy here toward Jack's song?
Heard "Brushfire Fairytales" the first time when our German ICE trains had "onboard entertainment" and had to find out on the spot who performed this extraordinary relaxing and good-natured music.
Still loving his (older) stuff!
Truly vile music. Makes me want to vomit violently. If I were into this kind of music I would be sure there was a large hole in my head.
please play more jack!

sweet tunes to relax with and chill out to.  and he is a kickass surfer.

Nice accoustic rythme work.....most interesting changes.
I guess I love Curious George so much that for me Jack Johnson can't do any wrong ever since he did that.
Sorry, but i like this guy. Great sit back in your chair and just chill. I'm not exactly familiar with "elevator music" but this seems more interesting and engaging than what I imagine that genre to be. just my opinion
Zzzzzzz
Inaudible melodies. If only.
How did he become famous? Elevator Music Top 10 or what? Sorry, he just bores me to death :D
this guy is lame . . .
Love this song too!

At least Buffett's music is fun.

Katie Melua is a lite version of Nora Jones, and Jack Johnson is a lite version of Katie Melua. Bland and dull.

sounds like a pre-school song. There's a saying, "If you try to be cute, you aren't."

I agree....brings back memories of my road trip to Santa Cruz the year this was released. Nice to hear again

Samba Pa Ti, Franklin's Tower, now this? Awwwwesome chill out set, Mr DJ. :) I hope Jack tours in the continental US sometime soon. I'm wearing a rut in WinAmp with his current two offerings. :)
Great voice.
Most of this guy's stuff sounds pretty bland and the same so I guess it is relaxing... like elevator music.
Love it. I think On And On is a stronger album but Jack's laid back groove is apparent on both of his major releases. Everytime I hear him, I take a deep breath and just relax a little more.
Another great Jack song :) This song was written because Jack was studying film audio and had to write a paper about it... but he ended up writing the song instead. Also it was about how Bruce Lee\'s moves were too fast for the cameras so it used to have the line in it \"Slow down Bruce you\'re moving too fast...\"
Great track off a great album. Even though Ben Harper produces a track on it and they are touring this summer, he still has his own voice. Keep it comin\'!!!
First song from Jack Johnson I've liked--his stuff seems more appealing when he slows it down.
Read Plato\'s Allegory of the Cave ( ; Basically, what if people were imprisoned since birth staring at a wall of shadows. Behind them is a screen and a fire with puppets/people making shapes which became the shadows on the wall these people were looking at. What would they think of the world?
