Everybody talks about some fateful day
And I guess that this was mine
I may be here to tell some kind of story
But I think it's gonna take a little time
(That's all right)

See I'm rockin' in a cradle
Down the hall somewhere and I am--
Lost inside a dream
Maybe I am falling
Maybe I am flying
But I know if I am crying she is
Holding me

And then the sky broke up
And then the rain came down
And it washed away everything on the ground
Wash it away
Wash it away
Wash it away

Now baby's got that bottle
Filled up with lightning and rain
He keeps calling out for someone
But she's riding on a train
Riding on the ghost train
And she keeps on riding
She's gonna keep on riding
Mama keep on riding
Keep on riding

Some trains they leave in the moming
Some leave in the afternoon
Some trains they leave here
Right on time
And some they just leave too soon
Way too soon
But I'm gonna keep on...

Now baby's got that bottle
Filled up with lightning and rain
He keeps calling out for someone
But she's riding on a train
Riding on the ghost train
And she keeps on riding
And she keeps on riding
She's gonna keep on riding
Keep on riding
Now baby's got that bottle
Filled up with lightning and rain
He keeps calling out for someone
But she's riding on a train
Riding on the ghost train
Riding on the ghost train
Riding on the ghost train
Riding on the ghost train
Riding on the ghost train

One of the earliest CD's I ever bought. Maybe it was a gift from an aunt or uncle? I can't remember........ I didn't think I went in for nostalgia but hey, there's another memory unearthed through music.
Brilliantly cool album too.
Like him!

Uh ha. . .

So. What - all voices? His voice? Your voice?

Come on, don't keep us dangling. You are teasing us with your three word post.

/sarcasm
Good stuff.

Saw him in DC in 1998 the night before finding out I was going to be a Dad....it was an awesome night, made better by the news the next day.

Voice annoys me.

When I heard this, I thought it was a Peter Gabriel song. Nope. Sounds good, Mr. Cohn.

My first thought, too. Nice one, made me look {#Smile}

If you ever get a chance to see Cohn live, do so. He has an incredible booming voice, only David Crosby has (had?) a voice as big.
Fab. 8.
Started as a 7,might go down {#Shifty} .

Be still my heart .... this man's voice moves me.

This sounds like RP "light"...... shake it up  a bit Bill!{#Sleep}

Great line.

Made me look up and check it out. Yeah, indeed!

Love the background voices signing their little chorus reprise. A 7 from me.

I own this, but hadn't heard it in a long time. Very nice, indeed. Flavors of Jaco on bass (on Joni's albums) and Bruce Cockburn.
Has he made it to Memphis yet?
A fellow Clevelander!
Loving this song

This song is just making the playlist? This is almost an oldie now. Oldie but goodie though. Several good tunes on this album.
