IDK? It is the first time that I have heard this tune. I will have to listen again, before I decide!  Thanx RP! PS: I like Karanga Beat by them!
Sounds like the kind of music they play when you're boarding an aircraft... Not actively bad, just... well, it's there. Not much more to say for it.
Due to all of the comparisons with a group named Deep Forest , I looked them up on Amazon.com and gave a listen... and was appalled at how bad they sounded in comparison to this group. But that was, apparently, their first, self-titled album. Later albums are much better. (Click here for Boheme.) (Click here for Comparsa.) People also mentioned My Life in the Bush of Ghosts so I looked them up on Amazon.com too... and found music that doesn't really compare at all with the other two groups. (Click here for My Life in the Bush of Ghosts.) (Read the Amazon.com "Editorial Review" for more on this joint effort between David Brian, David Byrne & Brian Eno.) Not all tracks on the self-titled Pangea will be to everyone's liking, but there is much to glean from the album if you are into New Age/World Music. Click on Amazon.com's Music Sampler and see what you think. (Click here for Pangea.) And yes, Enigma also sounds a lot like Pangea and Deep Forest. There is a funny point in the editoral review of Voyageur - "Enigma, aka Michael Crétu, turns out more light electronic ambience on Voyageur, mixing in an occasional twist but sticking pretty close to his successful, easily digested formula." (Click here for Voyageur.) (Click here for Enigma's debut album, MCMXC A.D.) - No music sampler here but trust me, this album beats the pants off anything else listed here! (Unless you don't care for Enigma's more medieval-style music but do like the more "earth-mother-new-age" style of the other groups listed here.)
Thanks to subwoofer power, I am really feeling the drums in this track. Wow. Songs like this make me wish I had decent hi-fi gear to hear it on instead of computer speakers. Very pleasant and soothing. Much better than Deep Forest that's for sure
sounds like it might fit in some video game soundtrack...mediocre, but good nonetheless
sounds like Enigma!
I'm sure this kind of music actually lessens one's intelligence. I can feel the superficiality eating away at my brain.
Yob yob.
It takes me where I like to go. Love it!

Glad to hear the Ewoks are getting gigs again.
and I thought it was a Deep Forest rip off. Go Ewoks!

this is the kind of music it is great to have on when you're doing something very important but highly tedious. not that there aren't better examples of this sort of thing, alot of them come from india imho, but I can't hate on it, it's not 'bad' per se, just not quite genius or anything.

I totally agree. This is silly, self-conscious, and just plain irritating.
Yah, I agree with your agreement. If you want to hear rain and background sounds, cut the crap and play Pat Metheny's "As Falls Witchita, So Falls Witchita Falls" fer chrissakes. Sure, it's long, but at least get some substance from a master for your money!

I was tired of this world-music-samples-over-house-beats stuff before I had finished listening to Deep Forest for the first time. Check out My Life in the Bush of Ghosts to see how it SHOULD be done.

i love the ewoks,, did they write this song?
Not bad
WATER and FIRE?? Is the next song STEAM?
If you listen very carefully, you can hear the Ewoks getting crushed underfoot... Enchanting!

Max, I agree that My Life... is far superior. This seems to only want to "soothe" - nothing more. Feh.

I think I heard this playing over the Wal-Mart PA system.
Heh, I just came by to say that i think I heard this coming out of the CD vendor booth in my local new-age shoppe.

I gotta go to YOUR Wal Mart! We only get screaming employees on the intercom/PA...no music whatsoever, much less something this lovely. (I know you were just making a point.)
Did that little kid just say "Hakuna Matata"?

Usually this kind of music really bores me, but this one was just mellow. Real nice. I could hear it again. Right about this time of night.
BORED now!
A musical prayer.....calming, clear, leaving one at peace.
love it!!!!
NICE LAID BACK BACKGROUND SONG- MELLOW!. . . I NEED A DRINK, HEY IT'S FRIDAY, LETS KICK IT UP A NOTCH!
A perfect morning song... thanks.
I think I heard this playing over the Wal-Mart PA system.
