If you must play Styx because "It's so bad it's good" then play 'Mr. Roboto' at least.

Man! Just can't stand it!
Wikipedia wrote:
Styx is an American arena rock band that saw great success in the 1970s and 1980s, penning such hits as "Come Sail Away," "Babe," and "Mr. Roboto." They were the first musical act ever to have four consecutive triple platinum albums. The group originally formed in the Chicago, Illinois, area in 1961 as "The Tradewinds". This earliest line-up of the group included brothers Chuck and John Panozzo on guitar and drums, respectively; and vocalist, pianist, keyboardist, and accordion player Dennis DeYoung. Changing their name briefly to "TW4", Chuck switched to bass guitar and the band added guitarists/vocalists James "J.Y." Young and John Curulewski. The band members decided to choose a new name when they signed to Wooden Nickel Records; several suggestions were made and, says DeYoung, Styx was chosen because it was "the only one that none of us hated."
I applaud RP for giving Styx a spin. I guess it was played as a "guilty pleasure" but it's a shame because Styx has some incredible music that would be right at home on RP next to the other high quality, thoughtful stuff. "Boat on the River," "Best Thing," or even "Castle Walls" from the same album. More Styx - not just an occasional spin of the songs that have been driven into the ground on the radio over the years - would make RP even more sublime than it already is.
To think that I air guitared to this once upon a time
RP, what were you thinking playing Styx? You might as well throw in REO Speedwagon and Journey so you can have a candy-ass 70\'s trifecta.
I love to hear this song.. but not that often do I get to. Brings back some great memories. I really like about 95% of the stuff that is played on RP. If all of you others are like me, you can handle a bad one every now and then. Can't we all just get along? :p :p
Cartman sings it last night on South Park (rerun) and now I hear it first thing in the morning. Good . . . Bad . . . Cosmic?
god this reeks....dennis deyoung is such a puke. notice how he says \"lad\" in a faux british accent. he is from where i grew up in chicago, for cryiiiii. why do u still play this tripe, mr g?
booo hissssssss boooooo Make it sail away forever.
Funny as the first things I think of when I hear Styx where the South Park references already mentioned and the recent Simpson's "River Styx" gag with homer sailing down a river of fire and skeltons rocking out to "Lady" on of the funniest moments of that season.
stop, please stop

Funny.. I was just thinking that... and was hoping this was *that* version... :( oh well.. where's that MP3 on my hard drive.. :D ... no no.. you guyssssa..
While I never was a Styx fan, then or now, I like this song :) But then what do I know, I also like Natalie Merchant and Tori Amos :D
Uhhh ... Bill?
No, please, no! Shoot me now!
I like the song, but wouldn\'t want to here it all the time. But then if you wanted to play some other styx song, I could deal as long as it\'s not Babe....or just about any other song post Pieces of Eight. Kevin

I'll agree with that. As an occasional "guilty pleasue" it's not bad, but best not to overdo it.
if ( song != rock->intelligent || song == rock->corporate ) { fflush( styx ); realloc( playlist ); }
I don\'t necessarily need to hear it again, but it did bring a smile to my face as i had a brief, allbeit, sharp trip down memory lane...going up to my oldest brother\'s attic bedroom (just like Greg Brady\'s!) circa 1978, when he wasn\'t home, putting on his albums and wondering what that curious scent was...
Probably Stxy's most notible piece...But it doesn't beat the South Park Cover of this tune sung by Eric Cartmann.Which I would go so far as to say is an improvement to the original.
Please, no more!! (especially creepy as it came right after Joni Mitchell -- the best & worst of RP!)
oh my - rp as a classic rock station? huh? the slight affection i feel for it comes from some innocent hs love & whatnot, but seriously...
Very Very Bad. This song stinks all the way from the seventies, I am shocked you would play such awful awful Schlock.
This must be a joke, right? Styx? Sucko-Barfo squared.
