Rilkean heart I looked for you
To give me transcendent experiences
To transport me out of self and aloneness
And alienation into a sense of
One-ness and connection ecstatic and magical

I became a junkie for it
I came looking for the next high
And I'm sorry

I've been putting the search on the wrong place
I understand that you're confused
Feeling overwhelmed
Well that's a feeling state from then
The reality, with cleaning up my emotion of life

And I'm getting in touch with myself
I'm beginning to ground myself
In my own sense of being as an entity
One entity on the planet

Becoming truly self-reliant and become connected
With something beyond me
That is where I have to go
I'm so sorry

I've been putting the search on the wrong place
You're lost and don't know what to do
But that's not all of you
That's your reality today
And that is all okay

I understand that you're confused,
Feeling overwhelmed
Well that's a feeling state from then
The reality

You're lost and don't know what to do
But it's not all of you
That's the reality today
And now it's all okay

I understand that you're confused,
Feeling overwhelmed
Well that's a feeling state from then
The reality

Rilkean heart......

Great voice!
Sounds very experimental. Unfortunately.
Wow... the art of the seque.  Fiona Apple Across the Universe cold into this with a short beat between.  Perfectly simple and rhythmically perfect.

Hear Liz Fraser will be touring with Massive Attack.  Looking forward to that
Have not heard a bad song at all

This version of the song is on an EP called Twinlights. The version on Milk and Kisses is quite different. Love em both. I'm very much a CT fan.

Yep. This one's missing Guthrie's ethereal guitar.
Love Liz's voice!

Usually I adore the Cocteau Twins, but this was one of their off days in my opinion, I have to say that once again I am baffled by RP's choice of track. I guess that's part of the learning experience - hats off to you all again, good sir and madam!

Absolutely.  I think this is grim and I never want to hear it again if I can help it, but it is clearly loved by many and I thank RP for the listening experience.
I already love the album version, but this is so much more haunting and "alive".
This is beautiful. Really beautiful.

Hey! These people aren't always horrendously irritating! Cool!
You've been good. EXTRA good. Cambot wrote:

Wonderful. her voice is just superb. Lovely for a cold grumbly afternoon. THANKS BILL!

Its a very different, minimalist turn for the Twins. The lyrics are amazing, and very multilayered for a pop song. My preference is for the alternate version on Milk and Kisses, but I'll take any Elizabeth Fraser I can get on RP,
Underwhleming.
Can't say that this is the greatest thing I have heard on RP. Perhaps it will grow on me.

It's lovely, but does the beginning of the melody remind anyone else of that old Coke commercial that went, "I'd like to teach the world to sing in perfect harmony..."? :|
Yep, I was thinking the same thing. Not my fav. Cocteaus, but much better than many things I've heard today....

Cocteau twins .... a-n-y-t-i-m-e
I glanced at the headline of the mini-playlist and saw "Coc" and for some reason, my brain didn't read any more. It registered "Joe Cocker". I thought "Woo-hoo! Maybe it'll be 'The Letter'." Imagine my surprise when the song started...

This lady has a phenomenal voice and incredible range. I\'ll have to see about getting \"Bluebell Knoll\" on the playlist.
Yes, more Cocteau Twins. Their music always makes me feel so warm inside. Liz\'s voice is beautiful. Thanks for playing this :)
Nice, Liz\'s vocals are just so good.
This is nice... I like the version with the overdubbed harmonies much better though. But I\'m sure happy to hear some new Cocteau Twins here :D
