This is awful. It's not even awful in an interesting way (like the Corrs covering Fleetwood Mac). Just creepy-awful.

hmmmmmm, maybe 6.
Way too high a rating.
I think this is a "you had to be there" performance. Since we weren't, let's hear a real song instead.

Ewww! Girls are so icky! I'm guessing that's what you're saying?
This is almost as bad as her horrible POS Self Evident.
Ew.
I wanna get my feet wet and drown right now!
hmmmmmm, maybe 6.
perfect. every time she plays this at shows i'm overwhelmed by her sincerity.
I'll wet your feet; stand next to the urinal here......
hmmmm, Nope 1

I just helped you out. :)

time to plug in a disc and unplug RP.
Hah, I am mixed between giving this a 2 and 6, a 2 for the music being so bloody, or a 6 for the "I don't give a ****" attitude, so I will settle with 4.
Having heard this song, I can truly say that it resembles sharp objects shoved into bodily orifices. it really does.
ani was on conan recently
This is horrible in its own unique way.

Did she say "pull out my tampon and start splashing around"?
in shark infested waters!
yark.
There's much better Ani out there. Lots of it.
this is torture, I can't imagine hearing a whole CD or concert of her staccatto (spelling?)style, it's like pulling teeth, giving birth, being constipated . . .
Wow! too much hate here!
2.5 years of rating songs on RP, and this is the 2nd "1" i have handed out. well done ani!
What the hell was that?!
After listening to RP for so long, she is still the only artist that is played I cannot stand..like..not even a little bit..

she sure did!

Yeah, I hear that. To me she just does not sound relaxed at all. Almost like she's constantly having a panic attack or something.
Did she say "pull out my tampon and start splashing around"?
luv ani hate this song
too nasal for my taste....

Stupid comment - just leave then and let the rest of us enjoy the site.

PM me and I'll explain.
unbearable

Come on Coach.. Didn't you grow up with sisters? Mine use to chuck those things at me.. I was such a pain.. Your are right.. this song is just OK... at best.
What the heck kind of family did you grow up in? Holy cats! But yeah, the song is middlin' ok.
Ani Rocks the HOUSE (mine anyways)- LOVE her!
Whoever submitted this must have made one hell of a contribution to RP!
She does a great version of this with her back-up band on her live album, So Much Shouting, So Much Laughter. But really, Ani live and solo is extremely intimate and a great experience and the recording really doesn't do her justice.

With apologies to Ani fans, this is unbearable.
I can see how this would be a bit tortuous for non-fans. Being an admirer, I feel that this one's slight, yet filled with her usual poignancy. Plus, she seems to be having fun with it.

apparently canadians don't like this ... neither do i.
the halting breathing gets in the way of the words....is this what it sounds like if telegrams could talk?
Her music is so artificial to me... so forced. I can't tell the guitar line is any different than any other song she does, except maybe slower. It seems like an act.
Dis gust ting. You know which line Im talkin bout.
Does it end? EDIT: Ask and ye shall receive. Thankfully.
Listen to her breathe, she manages to breathe louder than she sings. wack.
I don't usually comment on songs, but this is the low point of the day for RP.
This is bad.
nice

I saw Ani play in Schenectady, NY last week-- hearing her play this song live and solo is one of life's underappreciated joys.
