How can you say your life is empty
So late in the day
Why would you stay another second
Now your sight got in the way
A combination
Of love and aggression
Another second lived

Don't paint the silence black now save me
Don't leave it a day
You got a right to stand or die so maybe
You take chances all the same
Pain comes in stages
If we don't make it
Nothing changes

Now the violence sleeps inside
Abandoned feeling for just a piece of mind
It's the reason why your teething side frustrates me

Now the violence sleeps inside
Abandoned feeling for just a piece of mind
It's the reason why your teething side irates me

Don't leave me to pick up on your questions
Not even a day
It's alright to finish up your sentence
You talk all the same
Pain comes in stages if we don't make it
Nothing changes

Now the violence sleeps inside
Abandoned feeling for just a piece of mind
It's the reason why your teething side frustrates me

Now the violence sleeps inside
Abandoned feeling for just a piece of mind
It's the reason why your teething side irates me

At least 3 years of listeners pointing out that this is not Paint The Silence. I guess the team doesn’t read the comments!

The song I just listened to is
"Keep Close" by South,

not "Paint the Silence"

at least the lyrics

Yeah, this isn't the song Paint the Silence, not even on Spotify.  Not sure what happened, but it was uploaded with the wrong name.  Gonna try to find the real title.
 Good evening RP`ers........ Rate 8

Cool, thanks for that, Lilly! Good song.
Can't say I've ever heard this band before. Can't say I ever want to hear them again. Out-of-tune, raucous, and what's with the strange key change at the bass solo: sounds like a patch-in mix.
wow. i forgot all about this - and this band. thanks for playing it again!
Sitting out back on a beautiful evening in May.  Loving RP

The bass guitar break in the middle is cool.
That was very nice - first time I've heard this band.

Nice.  Oasis without the arrogant BS.  Good album, too.

Yes and I like both.

Clever!

Supergrarse-esque!

schrammel-schrammel...
i still love this. after all this time.
This one just caught me.  It's got...I dunno, depth.

Nice.
I have this album and one other by South.  Not very well know on this side of the pond...but very worthy of multiple listenings in a Doves-Verve-Oasis kind of way.  I beleive Paul Weller helped out on at least one of their recordings.  I'd like to hear more from him on RP as well.
not bad... {#Clap}

Good choice! This is a great CD, I think.

Really like this. Unfortunately on the live version is on iTunes. Please play more of this band.

actually, Julian Lennon was my first thought...
Nice. I really like it!
I guess it is just me (or no one else thought to comment on it, one or the other), but it sounds like this guy is singing out of tune?!
Sounds like Crowded House to me-like it!

I went and picked up this album and its great, there\'s an organic flow to it, but yet all the songs stand well on there own. If you like this song you\'ll like the rest of the album.
Glad I\'m not the only one that heard the Beatles in this one.
this is actually \"Hold On\"

Perhaps because they're trying to; the singer, at least, is doing a decent imitation of Lennon--intentionally or not.

Sounds like Julian Lennon produced by Phil Spector, with hints of Oasis sprinkled in for good measure. I always liked Julian; too bad never could get his musical career off the ground. These guys will do in a pinch though.
That was good that.... More of the same please
I liked this track. Has RP played any tracks off this CD? Danny
Definitely Lennon-esque, I agree! And I always like the songs, too. I\'d like to hear even more of this band.
This guy has a John Lennon-esque sound to his voice... IMHO (oh, and that's a GOOD thing)
yes.
Thanks for introducing me to this band lily. :D This band, along with Entrain (thanks Jrzy for introducing me to them) are the only 2 bands (new to me) I can think of where I have liked EVERY song I have heard. THANKS RP and thanks to the wonderful RP community as well.
