Come on children mind the gap.

Miracle people with marvellous hair,
And the knack to do anything better than anyone,
I got a home with electrical air,
And I live in a world smaller than anyone's,
I got a line on the new frontier,
I got a line on the new America,
All of the people are vanishing here,
I could be huge if I could just get.

From the outside of everything to the inside of you,
From the outside of everything to the inside of you.

Purest aluminium people are walking,
The streets of London so hysterical,
Nobody here gets a word that I say,
And the problems I'm told,
Are more than medical,
I got a friend from the new frontier,
And Galen, she says, this is not America,
You need a girl with electrical hair,
And the word that you wanted was aluminium.

From the outside of everything to the inside of you,
From the outside of everything to the inside.

I was in bed with the girl at the end of the world,
She said, I'm going home, you should come home too,
But I'm at the end of a new frontier,
Here at the edge of the flat earth ending,
I'm getting off to get lost in the air,
At the end of the world where the light is bending.

From the outside of everything to the inside of you,
From the outside of everything to the inside of you,
From the outside of everything to the inside of you,
From the outside of everything to the inside.
To the inside of you,
To the inside of you,
To the inside of you,
To the inside of you.

I'm a big Counting Crows fan, but this song is just godawful.  Hard Candy has some good songs on it ("Holiday in Spain", "Up All Night", "Colorblind", and yes, even the title track), but this is one of the tracks that they really, really bombed on.  For this album, the band went too far over into pop, and I think it cost them a lot of fans.

Luckily, Saturday Nights and Sunday Mornings was a much better album, and their latest, Somewhere Under Wonderland, is their best since Recovering the Satellites.
This song \"killed\" this set. Blechhh.

I thought it was. Deadbeat Club or whatever that one is.
damn, I keep posting comments on the wrong songs, how do I undo a posted comment? Sorry gang...
I have to laugh....after reading all the posts ripping the Crows for sounding like...well, the Crows, they finally try to sound like someone else for a change and get ripped for that! Unfortunately, the someone else they tried to sound like was Oingo Boingo.
This song would be a lot better if the B-52\'s were doing it.
I quite like it, actually. In fact, it had been stuck in my head when I turned on RP this morning, and I was pleased to hear it. It\'s catchy and good for moving. If RP played it with the frequency of Pop Radio (tm), I might be sick of it after a few weeks. But they don\'t, and I\'m not.
I don\'t know why this song seems to provoke such antipathy. This sound has grown on me with repeated listenings.
Sounds like Counting Crows covering a newer REM song.
I\'m a big fan of the Crows, and I\'ve defended them on other songs. Not this one — it stinks.
\"All of these people are vanishing here\" I wish these guys would vanish.... utter bollox
New frontier, hmm? Let's make it the final frontier, then shove 'em out an airlock.

Not quite as bad as \"American Girls\", but it doesn\'t really do much for me. A friend of mine bought the CD and says it is good, but I\'m beginning to wonder if it\'s just blind devotion :-)
This reminds me of all the 80\'s music that I never really cared for.

Uhh.. The album is \"Hard Candy\" not \"Rock Candy\". This is why I love this place. Only RP will play anything from a new album, not just what the RIAA decides we should hear. Pretty nice stuff.
