Gotta love Kottke. Wish Bill would play some Adrian Legg too. And John Fahey. And more Hawaiian Slack Key artists. And there's Flamenco and...and the list goes on.
i've been waiting a long time to hear Leo on RP. A great musician underappreciated these days.
I've been listening to this since the album was first released in 1969 and it's as amazing today as the first time I heard it.

I remember seeing Leo the first time in Ft. Worth around 1976 or so. Just him and a bunch of guitars on stage. Most of his songs sounded like 2-3 guys playing together. I'd bet this is just him single-tracked.

I saw Leo open for Bonnie Raitt a few years ago, on very short notice according to Bonnie.
He opened with this, just him and his acoustic 12 string sitting in front of a microphone.
I can definitely attest that he can play this with no studio trickery as I was sitting 20 feet away. Mind Blowingly GREAT!

Kottke uses a lot of open tuning. Pretty cool.

I've been follow Leo since 69 and this one still gives me a chill. If it wasn't said before he is definitely playing all the notes and not multitracking it.
I have to wonder if it takes courage to select this for the "mix" here on RP. It only seems to get played about once a year. It's not everyone's cup of tea.
Leo and John Fahey have given me years of enjoyment. Hearing this I miss Gaye Delorme once again.... It's one of the reasons I love Radio Paradise.
