they've been doing this since Radiohead was being Creep-y... (and I'm a fan of both). this album reminds me more of Mogwai.

Seems like Bono got drunk with the guy from Ours, had a threeway with The Strokes, and out came Lake Trout. Okay...that was strange :p
Ugh! I can\'t stand that scratchy whine on the chorus! And the rest of the song does nothing to help. It sounds like my high school students when they don\'t have their homework done. This song gets a 1.

The music is OK (IMO), but I keep thinking someone should give the singer some cheese to go with his whine.
Like this.
Platy, I have to say, yet again, how GLAD I am you got these guys uploaded on RP.
I don't get the Bono connection at all. Okay, his voice sounds a little like Bono's in some parts, but the music sounds nothing like U2. To say this is another Bono sounding band is incorrect (in my opinion of course.). :)
Hm, could grow on me. Goes well with the Interpol played an hour ago or so... Please continue playing!
Yes, sounds like Bono, but I like it!
Someone characterized the singer from Janah as sounding Bono-ish. Well, here is another Bono-sounding band. Not bad, though...
nice.
I love the drums in this- nice beat.
I like to fish for Lake Trout, but listen to this song, well, not so much.
Hey Greg - check out LakeTrout.com for more info and upcoming tour dates - you can always pick up the new disc at their shows too. they are a truly unique live experience. Also stop by Binary Cortex, the fansite, for even more info and some live shows archived.
Glad Platy fished ( sorry, bad pun) that from his collection and contributed it to RP :D
Good addition Platy!!!!
Platypus turned me on to Lake Trout. What an awesome group of musicians. This is one band where it is virtually impossible to characterize their music. They are truly unique.
