This is actually one of the lesser cuts on this album! "Here Nor There", "Wedding Song" or "Everest" are good. "21 Steps" is genuinely lovely. If this track catches your ear, please do yourself a favor and look this album up on Spotify. That link is available here!

Wow, haven't heard this in a while... I've been around RP so long now I'm starting to get 'nostala' moments from stuff I first heard here... I think this was one of the first totally new discoveries I made when I first discovered this site oh-so-long ago.

Wow. That's a lot of anger. Maybe this IS his true voice, and he just happens to sound like Bono (to you). I bought this album a few years ago when I happened upon it in a store. I immediately recognized Andy's name, as I am familiar with Ani Difranco's bandmates' names. Gave it a listen at the in-store station, and was surprised at how different it was from Ani's stuff. Was intrigued enough to buy it, and like the album very much in its own right. Glad to hear a track here, which reminds me to go listen to the whole album again.

I love the sound of the song; I love the tried and true formula of the song....but I have absolutely no respect for artists that make a living imitating someone else.
A really good vocalist would try to find his own voice rather than exploit the money and fame to be found sounding like a superstar. Its even shadier than being an Elvis impersonator. A pity, his influences "interfere" that much, while he can't stand the comparison (yet?) with U2 ('One'), Radiohead and (even) the Beatles.
But it's got the right sound (good production!) and I'm curious what he will sound like after he has found a style/voice that's more his own.

I agree with the other comment I saw below. It sounded like Bono at first, but with slightly less angst.
