Agreed. It's a haunting tuning. But he doesn't seem to do anything with it but pound and strum.....

I had to wait until the end before I awarded this a 1. I just couldn\'t believe it would be this bad all the way through, and I kept hoping it would have just one redeeming feature -- a half-decent riff, a spot of amusing word play, whatever. Sadly, no.

Have always been a big Luka fan- since I first saw him live in 88, opening for The Pogues. Had to wait two years for Riverside to be released. Now, I can\'t wait for the live album, \'Amsterdam\', due out in the US in a few days. Luka\'s a fabulous musician, and a great person. (I really enjoy chatting with him after his shows- just as entertaining off stage as on.) I\'d love to hear more Luka here! Maybe \'Delirious\', or \'I Need Love\'. Heck, anything would be good. :) Be well -UF

As warm and rich as the guitar here is, I have never been able to take Luka Bloom seriously. He's just way too earnest for me.

Of the ones I've heard, his first album "Riverside" is still the best. And yes, he gets an amazingly big, fat sound out of just one guitar.
