Great lyrics and I am glad RP is doing political music, but Dan Bern has always struck me as a little too clever and embarassingly Dylanesque.
Isn\'t it Bob Dylan?
:) hats off to someone not afraid of going against the freakin\' norm; no iraq is not afghanistan, saddam is not osama, but the dubya will tell you you have 11 toes and you\'ll say \"yes massuh\", THINK FOR YOURSELVES oh unwashed masses, at least give a crap about being unemployed when your leader wants to get another 70 billion for this stinkin\' WAR!!!!!!
Yuch - the lyrics are definitely clever, and I agree with him, but I can\'t stand the music (or lack thereof). He sounds like a Dylan ripoff (who I don\'t like either - so shoot me).

Bah. Lets just all pretend we aren't invading a country without provocation.

I was refering to the music, not the message.

This is absolute crap. (The music, that is).
Having listened to RP for weeks... this is the first song I\'ve heard that I absolutely do not like.
Uh... it's a SENDUP. Meant to sound like Dylan. Get it? Lighten up, Francis. Funny, many people have said the same about Dylan himself. ("The audacity to compare him to ____" -- insert Seeger, the Kingston Trio, God, etc.) Especially straight-laced parents of war protestors in the 60s. Heh heh heh.

Loved it! Bravo, Dan Bern!
loved it.
Toni Smith (the college basketball player who is turning her back on the American flag during the Pledge of Allegiance) should listen to this song and re-state her actions - she\'s probably a terrorist
about time I heard something that was more real and wasn't just another "god bless america" song... I was getting ready to puke if I had to listen to another "the day it happened song" -oh and it's funny too.. (pimp)
Unpaid parking tickets aids terrorists, heh.
Whoa! Funny Dylanesque sendup... sure to fire up the conservatives. ;)
How refreshing - political, critical, and funny! Hey Dubya, you listening?!
Wow. Honesty! hardly ever heard....
