Lovin' free
Season ticket on a one way ride
Askin' nothin'
Leave me be
Takin' everythin' in my stride
Don't need reason
Don't need rhyme
Ain't nothin' I'd rather do
Goin' down
Party time
My friends are gonna be there, too

Ehh

I'm on the highway to hell
On the highway to hell
Highway to hell
I'm on the highway to hell

No stop signs
Speed limit
Nobody's gonna slow me down
Like a wheel
Gonna spin it
Nobody's gonna mess me around
Hey Satan
Payin' my dues
Playin' in a rocking band
Hey momma
Look at me
I'm on my way to the Promised Land

Wow

I'm on the highway to hell
Highway to hell
I'm on the highway to hell
Highway to hell

Mmm, don't stop me
Ehh, ehh, oww

I'm on the highway to hell
On the highway to hell
I'm on the highway to hell
On the highway to...
Hellllllll
Highway to hell (I'm on the highway to hell)
Highway to hell (Highway to hell)
Highway to hell (Momma, I'm on the)
Highway to Hell

And I'm goin' down, all the way, wowwww
I'm on the highway to hell

OH HELL YEAH! I used to torture my church-lady mom with this every day. Now she's passed and I miss her, but she's on my mantle and I'm cranking this up so she can hear it again!

You don't get it and never will. Move on.
Bon Scott - he was a cocktail of rock 'n' roll, whiskey, charisma, confidence, humor and legend. Nobody did it better.

I was at that concert - the PA packed in 1/2 way through the AC/DC set and they didn't notice as the onstage monitors were providing adequate volume halfway up the pitch... Luckily fixed swiftly so the rest of London could enjoy the show! http://www.ukrockfestivals.com...

Maybe she means they're shitting themselves.
Classic
Such a sweet surprise to hear them here between eclectic stuff. Sounds like a good Friday mix so far. Gets me fired up to work all weekend.

Oh of course. Thunderstruck cover next. LOVE RP!!

Too slow to be heavy metal? Have you heard Black Sabbath?

Har-dee-har, so true.  I can almost hear the retching and am thrilled, bravo RP!

More AC/DC!  ....What, Bill has just cued up "Thunderstruck"?!!!  This is too good to be true, but it is true...HAHAHAHAHA!
I think Bill must have been listening to Triple M Sydney lately... no more than three AC/DC songs per hour {#Wink}

Seriously, great to hear them here- in small doses.

Nope we're not! Why should we ? As I'm writing this, Bill has followed it by Luca Stricagnoli's cover of Thunderstruck, and I'm still happy. Go figure!
This came on right after Bill said he hoped we were enjoying the music mix. We are indeed. Thanks Bill :-)
Hell yes !

Funny too, considering how close electric is to eclectic, and AC/DC is for sure worthy of being played on the RP airwaves...this get's a 10 from me, Long Live RP!!

Let me think about this.  Does AC/DC deserve to be played on RP, all things considered?

Nope.{#Snooty}

Your thinking appears to have led you to the wrong conclusion.  The people who decide what 'deserves' to be played on RP seem to believe that it qualifies.

First travel in London with this album in my (big and heavy) walkman. Never forget this sound in my student bed

AC/DC is by FAR the worst band ever to make it big.  There are worse bands (no, really, there are), and there are bigger bands, but AC/DC has no competition as concerns the combination of the two.

See, that's the right attitude. RP is great BECAUSE they play "Highway to Hell." It wouldn't get any better if it became MORE selective.

I am not a snob, you would not say that if you knew me or read all of my posts.

At some point though you have to ask whether AC/DC was an artistic, quality band.  I say no.   Surely you have standards and preferences yourself, don't tell me just anything can be played here.  I won't believe it.

As for me deserving to listen RP, that makes no sense.

  Dude you need to lighten up and you better get a grip on reality because I believe I heard AC/DC on RP? It's only music, so enjoy {#Bananajam}

This song rocks

Never liked this so I suppose it's stood up to the test of time...{#Headache}

(But there are plenty of rock road songs I do appreciate...)

Well, they are going to be automatically disqualifed due to their incredible success, that is a given here.  They would qualify as overplayed.  I am trying to take that out of the equation.  Also, as a kid I really loved them.

I think the idea with RP is that its about the quality not the popularity, so I think its great that once in a while a tune like this comes by even though its overplayed in a general sense because its still a great great rock song. I wouldn't like to hear AC/DC a lot on RP either.

Yah, no pretension here. You won't catch these guys jumping on the "unplugged" bandwagon or doing a "symphonic" album. Just guitars, bass & drums turned to 11. This was their best album, IMO; Bon was the real voice of AC/DC.

Rock on!
Rated 6.6? ... what the... come on people... this is godlike. Malcolm Young you are a rock rhythm guitar god

10.
Always takes me back to 79 when I was in high school and I went to record them at Towson University for local radio station, DC101. Met the Band and got their autographs. Because AC/DC I started collecting Rock autographs and still do to this day.

Bon was walking down the hall way after the show with 2 girls, one under each arm and holding a Heineken. Asked if he would sign and he was most accommodating and gracious. Angus, Malcolm, and Chris were in the locker room and they were all sitting around taking about how the show went. Angus was still in his school boy uniform and tripping wet. They all signed and were really nice. So that left Phil, It was getting late and I could not find him. I finally walked up to a guy and asked if he had seen Phil? He said "I am Phil" I felt like an ass, but he signed.

4 months later Bon was dead. Bon was the heart of AC/DC but Brian is just as good. He took the group with Back in Black to a level that they would not have gotten to with Bon.

Go to a concert and I guarantee it will be one of the best Rock concerts you've ever been to.

{#Devil_pimp}  Hell set...{#Bananajam}

I'm on it...
I prefer to believe that this soong is a parody of itself.
Not so much
Yessss
I prefer the ARTIE LANGE version.
Good ole Acca Dacca .. their flame burns brightly!
I'm 13 years old. I've got a $3 joint and a bottle of suicide liquor. Bring it on. AC-DC (w. Bon Scott) will always rule.
dot was stuck in traffic once. devil and all. dot.
I saw these guys live once and I admit they are fun (especially if you are wearing a torn tank top, drinking a beer and hoping to hear songs with "hell" in the title.) Overall, they still strike me as a one-note rock band with two horrible singers. That one song they play is fun to bang your head to but there ain't no there there (IMHO)

Loving the "Hell" set, Bill.

Great positive attitude! I feel the same way. Express your opinion, hit the mute button and wait for the next good song, be happy for the others who are rockin out to this one. Cheers!

I'm always ready for some classic AC/DC!
First big concert! 8th grade! Stepped in barf because the dude next to me was puking and passing out. Great show, Angus was carried all around the somewhat small civic center. What fun

Typical, Bon Scott is the only one laughing on the album cover.
AC/DC and Talking Heads within an hour?? I think christmas holidays arrive at a perfect time for a lot of people...

34 "1"s and it's still pulling near a 7 average! hahahahahahahahah F-Man wrote:
Had to give this a "1". Hate giving out that 1 but the song is definitely below 4 (acceptable) and is not a 3 (ho-hum), so my choice was between a 2 (marginal) or a 1. In the end, had to go with sucko-barfo

RP getting heavy! Never thought I'd hear these guys here. Keep suprising me Bill! Anyone ever seen Hell's Belles, all girl tribute to AC/DC? Sounds wacky, but the really ROCK! The guitar player even wears a little school girl outfit.
