Ditto...John Hiatt is a great songwriter with a voice that takes some getting used to, Buffett does this song with more emotion and a truer sence of been there and seen that. But since RP is pretty much a 'Buffett free zone' I don't expect to hear his version anytime soon.

Not everyone "gets" Hiatt, but I think he's among the best contemporary songwriters. Yeah, his voice is an acquired taste, but you just have to love a guy who writes "we could go down with a smile on, don't bother to pack your nylons." A pure deeeeeeelight.
