Need to get this back in rotation.
Good old-fashioned, two feet on the ground tune played with real instruments...how refreshing.
His vioce gives me a head ache

Ditto...John Hiatt is a great songwriter with a voice that takes some getting used to, Buffett does this song with more emotion and a truer sence of been there and seen that. But since RP is pretty much a 'Buffett free zone' I don't expect to hear his version anytime soon.

I think this Hiatt guy is the fly! Kermit.

There are JH songs that groove and those that don't. This, happily, is the former. If you lost your Blur/Beatles groove, it ain't Hiatt's fault!! ChardRemains wrote:
ZZZZZZzzzzzzz. Buzzkill Did not keep up the Blur/Beatles groove.

I could swear I heard his dentures whistle on this (assuming he wears them?). Love Landreth's slide guitar, but could manage without John's voice.
IMO absolutely dreadful in every way

More signature licks from Sonny Landreth. Excellent!

Why, it's on your old broken down pickup truck, where else?

I like just about every thing this guy does. Please play, perfectly good guitar.
I'm a serious John Hiatt fan - at least the mid '80s and later John Hiatt - but this time out, he seems to be borrowing too much from himself. Hey, you can't hit a homer in every at bat.

Not everyone "gets" Hiatt, but I think he's among the best contemporary songwriters. Yeah, his voice is an acquired taste, but you just have to love a guy who writes "we could go down with a smile on, don't bother to pack your nylons." A pure deeeeeeelight.
perfectly put!

This is one that I don't particularly like but associate with Radioparadise as one of its staples. That makes me kind of like it, for some reason.
I do believe that I have now heard enough John Hiatt in the last week to last a lifetime, thanks. :P
One of my all time favorite singer/songwriters. And he\'s a real gentleman as well!
Excellent. That sure sounds like Ry Cooder - even though it\'s Landreth. So sweet.
Hey.... Sonny\'s out. And the windows open.. Hiatt .... Rocks.. \"and that\'s all I have to say about that\"
Perfect... thanks
Thanks Radio Paradise!! The new Hiatt rocks!
This is a great album. :)
