It's over today
The heat is gone
Time is gone

F for fake
I feel no wrong
Hide no wrong

Love this place
The lights

Under this face
So dry

Only way to change
Give yourself away
Don't be ashamed
Next in line
Close one eye
Just walk by

In these days
I'm breathing stone
Crying alone

I'll win this race
I'll leave alone
Arrive alone

Love this place
The lights

Under this face
So dry

Stripped to the bone
I did no wrong
Truth is my name
Give yourself away

F for fake...

Give yourself away...

Okay, I know RP is famous for segues that have an interesting thread in common. But this would be a bit subtle, with the lyrical use of the phrase "hi, hi, hi...",

I suppose if Cab Calloway's "Hi De Ho" queues up next, then we'll know for sure. :-)

Nope - more prosaic than that... there was that time when Bill and Rebecca did a road trip to Florida and when the local Everglades Police Department saw the California plates they pulled him over, hauled him out and said "Spread your legs dude".

What a day to remember - not going back to that state for no money!

Didn't know that. Looks like it came out in May... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sol_Invictus_(album)

Think I'll go have a listen (right) now. :-)
Could've sworn this was Incubus

One of my absolutely favorite all-time songs!  Thanks!
I like grunge, rock, hard rock, all kinds of metal, industrial, electronics... but I never liked FNM, ever. Something in his voice annoys me terribly. :-/

MORE FAITH!
Wow. Never expected to hear from this band here. Absolutely godlike!

Does that mean we should have faith again ?
Once again RP introduces me to a killer band (from my hood no less) AND picks one of their best tracks.

Reminds me of the glory days back in NYC when DJ's . . . RULED.
I heard these guys have a new album coming out.

So Faith No More are no more, shame this song is great and if its typical then their demise is a loss.

Mike Patton is still around and has been putting out music prolifically for years now.
This band is a little special for me because I posed to Epic in a bodybuilding contest once.  Mike Patton is very strange; got a lot of his solo stuff with Mr. Bungle and various collarborations with Brian Eno (has Eno worked with every musician in the world?{#Lol}) and others.
So Faith No More are no more, shame this song is great and if its typical then their demise is a loss.
Great tune and stoked it's on RP!
Always been a big fan of FNM,so very pleased to hear them on RP.thx Bill and Rebecca!

THAT was awesome.
First time I have heard FNM on RP and I hope to hear more. These guys have TONS of good stuff.
F. For. Fail.

Saw their reunion show a few years ago here in San Francisco.  Whoever was in charge of the sound that night did a horrible job, but it was still a great show, especially when they brought out their original singer, Chuck Mosely, as a surprise guest.
best. concert. ever.
wtf? never heard this before. 11
Dayum, that sinister guitar at the end sounds like a dive bomber.
Wicked good.
The whole song.
Sizzlin'
I can't believe Faith No More are no more, I wish there was more Faith No More. I would like to hear some more Faith No More.
Aaaah yes. This song.. It's a sparkling 10'er {#Sunny}
THESE GUYS coulda been contendas...
So glad this song is played on RP. Thank you Thank you!
Really glad to hear this on here again...
Love this album.  Great tune.  A nice surprise to hear it here....
Very cool album, it was my real introduction to FNM, but alas they broke up afterwards.

Great tune !
Their Last Cup of Sorrow is very good too.
Yes!

And of course "we care a lot" also (insider's joke... you have to go there to know)

I never heard it before either... but I like it...!
I totally pulled out Epic recently and listened to it a few times through. It's pretty darn good!
Wow. FNM. There's something really remarkable about this band. Hearing this just struck me like putting on an old favorite jean jacket that I pulled out from the back of the closet. I wouldn't wear it all the time, but once in a while it feels really good to put it on.
I've really got to dl some FNM to the ipod.

The bridge w mellotron is very early Genesis-like.
Me like.

Great selection!
First Talking Heads, now this song...thanks, Bill, for this awesomely creepy string of songs!
Faith No More was one of the bands that got me out of a looming classic rock rut back in the '90s.  Always good to hear.
another in the genre of stuff I'd never ever have heard were it not for RP
I kept thinking I was about to hear Led Zepplin's "Kashmir" ...
Wow! Haven't heard FNM in ages and then they show up on RP. Cool. Merry Christmas Bill.

Don't think I've heard that song before.

Pretty cool!

I of course had The Real Thing album.

What a great song...faultless
Nice!
Pleasantly surprised to hear FNM on RP this morning!

Keep it up.

I would HIGHLY recommend it!!!  Prepared to have it stuck in your media player for a long long time!

Yeah!!  The other day I was craving "Easy Like Sunday Morning" by FNM but I didn't expect to hear them on RP!  Thanks for the pleasant surprise Bill, these guys are so under appreciated IMO.
Thank you for this, Bill.  Incredible song from an incredible album by an incredible band. {#Music}

Turned up the volume for this one - love it!

If you like Faith No More, try out Mr. Bungle. It's like FNM on LSD. Same lead singer.

Mike Pattons "original" band was Mr Bungle - a funk/metal/jazz/surfer outfit {#Dancingbanana}Then you'll also need Fantomas and all the other projects the man is involved with - which is a lot! But each time he succeeds in surprising I consider him one of the great vocalists and inventors in the independent genre.

Yes, and I think the playlist would benefit if a few more slipped in.

yep ... with RP you will never be steered wrong ... we love you Bill & Rebecca!

I'm in heaven, Al Green followed by Faith No More... Bill, your a legend :) Somone find me another station that has this playlist, cos I don't think it exists.
woah, great stuff!
Faith No More rocks me in an odd way, but I always come away from it satisfied.

I often find myself reaching for the metal or hardcore cds after a few days of listening to RP. I've heard we crave what is missing from our diet, and it seems to be as true of music as it is of food. RP is great, but a regular dose of metal would keep me tuned in for longer streaches. Something from The Real Thing would be nice. Maybe Underwater Love or Woodpecker from Mars

Or The Real Thing itself. I have the same problem. I think comments like this need to show up more under Plant/Krauss, Anniken, Depeche Mode, etc. to get the message across. The LRC has a much harder edge than what makes it here, despite the fact that the hard stuff seems to get pretty good ratings.

I'll second that. One of my favorite bands for sure.
Nice!
WOOOO HOOOO!! Thanks Bill

One of favorite bands, saw them at the Masquerade in Atlanta on this tour. Even though this was their weakest album from their collection, the show was mind blowing! They went into a mix where they played clips of various tracks, it was so incredible that the mosh pit stopped and just stared. After the show we got to meet the whole band as they stood outside next to their bus. Great night!! Thanks for playing them RP.
Excellent! Great, under-appreciated band and album. Angel Dust rules, also King For A Day.... Scorchers. Sorely missed.
Wow, I was completely thrown by this song. I have never heard Faith No More on Radio Paradise. One of my favorite bands from their time. The album Angel Dust probably had a bigger impact on my young ears than any other.

Wow, I did an interview with them at the time, and when they asked me my opinion about the album I said that it reminded me of DM - they did not like the comparison at all, but I couldn't help it... And I didn't mean to offend: I love Depeche Mode.
More Faith No More please. Almost all of their music is awesome.

Awesome.

This does throw a hard edge into the mix, which I've enjoyed.

Hmmm, maybe, I don't know if RP has 'My ass is on fire' or 'Egg'.
Good stuff, always like to hear some heavier stuff make it into the playlist.
Used to me one of my favorite bands. They seem to go all over the place with their music. Great to hear on RP!

I definately like to see the heavier and darker rotation of late. Don't be scared of change, let it flow through your body and mind...
A really nice groove to this song, don't you think?
4 a day...
Hey, really like some heavier rock in RP for a change... Soundgarden up next? ;-)

hey, man, i've heard bungle's vanity fair get some good rotation on the LRC, as of late. patton's infiltrating RP, methinks.
Mike Patton definitely deserves a place in any eclectic rock rotation.
when did these guys go electronic? ehhh
Next maybe we'll get some of the Mighty Met on RP.
what is IT! yes IT, what IS IT!?

holy... i personally gave up on the idea of getting any FNM added to RP several years ago. in fact, i uploaded this song, along with Evidence, She Loves Me Not, and Caralho Voador way back in the dark ages... all met with relatively quick rejection. in any event, i'm very glad to see that the powers have finally come around! more FNM, please!
