Awesome programming again by Master Bill: first Joe Bonamassa - Slow Train then Ozzy Osborne - Crazy Train.
For me these were two totally new songs and I enjoyed them both, especially in this order.

He he! I too have vivid memories of getting my ass kicked to this song. Seems like a lot of hard core Ozzy fans were major asswipes back on the day. But Rhoads was such a gift and his light was extinguished far too soon. For whatever reason his loss has always had a profound effect on me.

I suppose you must be right about this being overplayed, but where do you hang out that gives you this perspective? Have I heard this anywhere else in the past decade? No, since I am not listening to whatever sort of medium you do. Considering the tremendous number and variety of songs I have been exposed to here that are either new to me or have been submerged somewhere for a long time, griping about one song being overplayed seems to be about your listening experience only. We all listen alone, in some sense.

Funny seeing the haters comments.  I like Ozzy, high art no fun yes.  Ozzy generally is spot on or off to who know where.  He is spot on on this  album.  He knows generally how to put together a good band.

Me Three. JFC this was tiresome when it came out, great guitar work or not (and frankly it's always sounded like a lot of screeching and wailing to me). 

Ozzy's always teetered on the edge of self-parody with his Satanic Madman schtick. This Top-40 hairball for the high school kids is a lowpoint. I'd rather watch Ozzy mutter about the dookies on the carpet than listen to this again.

Yes, really!  Granted, I was 2 when this came out, but I loved this song once I got caught up on the Ozzy catalog.  This isn't something I want to hear all the time, but every now and then it's great.  Yeah, it got played to death on the local classic rock station back home, but I'm not there anymore and don't listen to terrestrial radio if I can help it.

Ozzy? That's funny and unexpected. I actually enjoyed this track in context.

Here's another idea for a train theme sequence: from Joe Ely, you could have played "Tuesday's Gone:" "Train roll on, on down the line,
Won't you please take me far away?"  Can you imagine the stink some listeners would've raised when they heard Skynyrd on Radio Paradise?

I remember buying this album when I was 14 in the mall record store while my parents waited outside. When I came out and showed them what I bought, they just cracked up laughing at the cover. Much better reception than many parents gave it, I expect.
