Your car crashed
Buckled up from heaven
Feeling like it's poison
When there's no one around
Your whole life sectioned off from red ropes
Wishing you could see who
But you're stuck in the ground

With this mini side-show
Let the scenes go
It's obvious that you won
Would you say it feels slow?
Would you stay home?
How do you feel?
It's how do you feel (suffocated)

Breathe in
Breathe in
Breathe in
Look what's all around you
Breathe in
Breathe in
Breathe in
Look what's all around you

Taking off in circles
Wondering if it's worth it
You're innocent and ignoble
But this main line system
Has a glitch in it
It's ignorance has been shown
When you realize it's paid for
Wondering where the story's gone
It's how do you feel
It's how do you feel (suffocated)

Breathe in
Breathe in
Breathe in
Look what's all around you
Breathe in
Breathe in
Breathe in
Look what's all around you

Doesn't matter if you run the race
Doesn't matter if you're gonna win
When you're taking off a road
And you're locked on to the car
It's ok

Life's a daisy
Far too busy
Never stops
Feeling heavy
Tried to steady
It's all you've got

Breathe in
Breathe in
Breathe in
Look what's all around you
Breathe in
Breathe in
Breathe in
Look what's all around you

Nice, but I certainly won't forget the title......
M.O.R all the way......

Good call. Sounds much like Petty, Radiohead, and Bono. I first heard this on streaming audio when it the song was new. I think it was Spinner. Great song!
You pretty much nailed it.  But since I like all three, except for Bono, i think the song is pretty good.

Bill,
PLEASE CHECK THE DATA SOURCE (MP3?) FOR THIS SONG...it sounded as if it was skipping during the middle of the track.  Perhaps I was getting some buffering on the university's T1 line?  I doubt it.
Cheers and thanks,

I feel like ......breathing in.

I had to come by and double check that this wasn't Turin Brakes.

So true. Clear Channell and its clones hate radio friendly rock, unless their friendly statisticians can prove it will move as many donuts and car ads as Shock Jock Morning Yellers and afternoon classic rock of yore hits you over the head a million times before.

Catchy.
Certainly, breathe in, but please also remember to breathe out! ******* This message brought to you from the Carbon Dioxide Preservation League

Vocals give me a headache!
I thought it was Travis.
Great tune...

I'll second that. This song - particularly the intro - sounds almost exactly like "SWINGIN'" from the Echo album. I'm not sure which came first. But, like, it's not bad.... TJ
This song is inspiring! Get it? Hehehe Sometimes I' m too funny. Outstanding song.

Wow! someone who doesn't like Jeff Buckley! (see below) I didn't know there was one! Anyway, this is the kind of smooth, moody music that I listen to Radio Paradise for.
Ain't life strange? This is just the kind of music that makes me hit the mute button. (I'm with Faterson on this one.) The good thing is a few minutes later something more to my liking always comes along. Eclectic is good; keeps us all happy, on average.

There's too much smooth & moody on RP at times.

Did Jeff Buckley come back from the dead to sing with these guys? Tunes OK but the singer, blecch!

I'm perturbed by the misspellings and bad grammar. The claim of "Poetry" cannot excuse those. I could guess that "sufficating" is "suffocating." But what is "signurance"? And I specially object to the misuse of "if" where "whether" is called for. Maybe I am a voice crying in the wilderness, but to some of us, matters such as spelling, grammar, and punctuation are significant. Who is responsible? . . . the band?
I'd blame it on the terrible state of American primary and secondary schools.

I can testify to that!

Lucky for me, I have seen Palo Alto live and they are VERY tight live! Rick Rubin produced this album which should tell you something of how polished they are! Unfortunately, usually good music is above the common person. Britney Spears sells millions of albums and real BANDS suffer through poverty just to do what they love. Thank Nick Drake and everyone else in music heaven for Radio Paradise!!! Mari wrote:

INSPIRING!

disappointing. What were you expecting?
Since I never heared them before, I had no expectation other than "Somewhere between Radiohead and Pink Floyd", which - as you know me by now - quite wide. I'm affraid they fall in the first category, and I have to mute them.
Also sounds like Travis. Good song.

Boring and disappointing. Makes me want to hear the end
reminds me of Muse, and even The Bends-era Radiohead to a degree. interesting.

I believe it's the theme song for "The OC" . . .
Thanks ajax. That explains things. This has just enough depth to sound compelling for a 60 second commercial. After that it drifts into Easy Listenin' at high volume.

Ok, why do I know this song? Having been absent from RP for a long time, I'm sure I must have heard it somewhere else. Is it part of some soundtrack, a TV Show or Movie Ad? I'd say maybe local radio, except I rarely listen to Dallas stations...too much Clear Channel (6 stations in one city is way too many stations) for my taste Kevin

I saw PaloAlto live in Detroit when they opened for Soundtrack of Our Lives, and was not impressed, but I kinda like this. Perhaps PaloAlto is one of those bands that is better in the studio than on the stage.">
Catchy!
sweet
Bill G is one amazing DJ. This song is excellente!
still like it...has made its way onto burned CD's
Way smooth.
When it starts I always think it's my Fountains of Wayne "Supercollider" upload. That one's still "reviewing." Anyhoo, kinda cool. 7.
A bit of ear candy as they say....always fun to have a song where you can harmonize the refrain. Keeps the vocal chords fresh... and the body feeling young.

Gone this time. I'm starting to like this a little more with each listen; the build, the orchestration is pretty cool.

I like this song more and more each time I hear it.....keep playing it as much as you have, please!!! And that "very special" new FOX show will probably be cancelled before it can ruin the song for anyone!
Good song...too bad the "very special" new FOX show is probably going to kill it for me!

glad this made the cut, rebecca! thanks!
