Me too - not my usual cup o' tea, but that's why I listen to RP. This sounds cool in the headphones.

Yeah, sorta reminds me of Peter Gabriel - Darkness...though the screaming scared me the first time
It scared me too, thats the point. Very demonic, tortured scream. Great song and great band.

The song is so mellow and great and then it gets all screamy. Maybe that makes my listening tastes narrow too, but I didn't like it then. It really takes away from the song. It was just so great until then! What a shame. Ouch.

Is it just me or does Elbow rock? Every song of theirs I hear is awesome. Check out a fun animation of one of their songs here: (click here)
Love the forboding build-up, then release. Would go nicely with any Morphine, or Pixies' "Lady in the Radiator Song."

hmm....I'm in the loud part now..LOVE the horns!!!
I like it. I have their previous album, which is very subdued, but very intelligent. I may have to check out this new one.

I think your listening skills are narrow!
No, I just got on to say the same thing. The screams and crashes are jarring and don't fit in with the mood of the song. They really ruin it for me.

I was just about to type about how great this song was, but then the screaming and distorted guitar section began. Still an okay song, but those loud parts don't add anything, IMHO.
