RadioParadise, y'all so rock!!! I just happened to be back in Baton Rouge, La on business when you played this song. It immediately took me back to the wonderful old days when I lived here and saw Myshkin regularly at the late, great, M's Fine & Mellow Cafe. I swear, I've got tears in my eyes reminiscing. I encourage all listeners to slide over to myshkinsrubywarblers.com, download some free tracks, give a good listen, then buy every CD this woman ever made. It'll change your life.
Thanx nakedpoet, did that, order's in!

Lovely. She sounds like somebody (and I hate it when people say that), but I can't put my finger on it.
It reminds me of a song by Alana Davis where she keeps saying "I am 32 Flavors and Then Some". Which, in turn, everybody on here claims sounds like a Dave Matthews Band song.

Alanis Morisette. (No, really!)

I think it sounds like one of the Indigo Girls.

That was just incredible!! MORE please. <-o< Thanks R&B!
Yeah, that was purdy damn fantastic.
It's so sweet to hear Myshkin again. Her voice just sends me. I first heard a few years ago when she was touring with Mike West. They did some incredible work together. They focused on hillbilly music, banjo and fiddle stuff. Myshkin had a way of hitting those flat harmonies typical of the hillbilly sound. With anyone else this would have been merely pastiche, but she completely sold me. She's a damned good songwriter as well.
I keep thinking I'm hearing Tim Buckley's "Buzzin Fly". Anybody else?
One song doesn't do Myshikin justice if you want to hear her amazing voice and lyrics. You can still get her older stuff, especially "Why Do All The Country Girls Leave?" off CDBaby.com. Try "Apricot Tree" to hear her real talent. I found her because of the Road Dog Divas, and they are so cool it hurts. Especially check out "Coot", which made the latest Folk Alliance CD that came with Dirty Linen. But don't stop there, because all three Divas can belt it. "Coot" is actually Darlene's song. Then there's Laura Freeman, who is simply timeless in her sound.
