Gospel music for sure, but nowhere near as 'inspirational' as Golden Globe Award. To be at a live show, standing in front of the stage facing the crowd, and feeling the 'spirit' rise. It's a thing of beauty! Actually, pairs of beauties.

Good toe-tapping song, I only miss Hartford's own shoes dancing in the background. I am a Jewish atheist. And I love bluegrass and old time string band music, the Christian songs no less than the rest. I could live without some of the spiritual messages, but give me that old time music! And it might as well be here on RP.

Yes, I'm afraid you are way off. This is a very old song, harkening back to the days when gospel songs were in heavy rotation. You see, Christian music used to be pretty popular, back in the days when there were still Christians. But if you listen real carefully, on some am stations during the wee hours of Sunday morning, you can still hear what he's talking about.
