What's with the falsetto? OMG, that "rules".
No more. Please.
If I may quote joe1: this is carp.

I heard that someone shouted, "Play Summer of '69" at one of his shows and he refused to continue until that dude left the room. Don't know if it's true or not, but I would have left too, he's not that good as to be a jerk. Probably shouldn't listen to rumors, though.
I read the same thing in a magazine...I think he should have just played it. Has this guy yet got his first real six-string?

He financed his own album from all the kiddie's birthday parties he performed at HONK HONK
I like this song... reminiscent of Bono voicewise.
Grating. Painful to listen to.
I thought this guy was a melancholy brooder. Someone must've hit 'im with a cattle prod or something.

I agree. Just sounded like the previous number (U2) was still going on, even though the playlist stated differently. Ryan Adams added to the mute list
This guy reminds me of Morrissey meets Bono. Not too bad, but I don't really get all the echoing guitars.

A BAD U2 wannabe....
SWEET JEEZUZ MAKE IT STOP!!! The only tune on RP I turn down and wait for it to end......only the wailing seems to never end.......
I think that apart from Enigma, this could be the most annoying song on RP's playlist. Sorry Ryan...

The best way to figure out if you like a song is picture you self cruising down the interstate in your car with the windows down listening to the song in question. Would you change tunes? I would if this was on.
Well, at about 105 the beat in this song matches the pace of the little reflective dots pretty well. The song is...well, it's ok, but nothing remarkable.

That's ONE way of figuring it out, but not necessarily the best. Unless you drive all day, every day, on the interstate.
Sounds like a cat in a cuisinart.
was a big fan of GOLD, but did not enjoy this album very much. i think he's too prolific with his writing.

actually, you don't.
it's not his best record and it's not his best song. check out the demolition-record or gold. much better. dunno why, but lot's of music like this is compared to radiohead. apparently for no reason. not many of our time beats the originality of radiohead. RP: dump this album and play his earlier stuff, and maybe some of those things he did toghether with beth orton. That's really nice. Thanks :)

never cared much for falsettos...

Ahhhh...what's that on my hand?!!!! Quick! Hit the mute button!!!
radiohead? i don't hear it. but it is good. as is the whole album. it has an eighties feel, but it isn't as derivative as a lot of the retro bullshit that seems to be omnipresent these days. i uploaded "this is it", but i doubt it'll get picked up. there's a bunch of songs off of "rock n roll" that i wouldn't mind hearing on rp.
How did this BOZO land a record deal? This guy sucks!
I'm usually not one to complain...but c'mon...it's like this guy was learning to play guitar and sing while he was recording. Geeez...this is horrible. And I really don't see any resemblance to Radiohead. None whatsoever...
Wow I was really enjoying the early afternoon set till this came along. Guess it's time to go out and get a life.
geez... I'm on your side too, but I don't go on about it.
Is is just me or does the intro guitar part bear more than a casual resemblance to Joy Division's "Love will tear us apart", albiet a more up-tempo one? And along the same vein, the whole upfront guitar and percussion production reminds me quite a bit of New Order. or is it just lack of adequate caffine this morning?

Sounds like Radiohead.
I am not a Ryan Adams fan, but I am enjoying this song.
Great song. This is probably his best one so far.
Man! This song bugs the crap out of me! Bleh. the constant 80s waiiiiillling at the end is wretched. So Alive? I wish for the opposite.
"I Will Follow"
yuck...the musics ok, the vocals are horrid. Someone needs to chill on the 80's Bono wannabing.
Radiohead-guy meets Jeff Buckley... oh joy
This guy was actually pretty good before he started believing his own press, now hes so drunk and drugged up, I dont think he knows where he's at
Ho Hum...Ho Hum A Wester wanna be, with worse vocals.
Well, this is not very good...horrible vocals, annoying guitars...nope ! Does not work for me...I know I'm alive, but not to listen to this. Much worst than Morrissey, man, c'mon.
He sound like the lead for Concrete Blond during the chorus... so i'm not sure if he is testosterone challenged or if she is estrogene challanged.
Morrissey?
This song is growing on me - but not like a wart or a tumor. :D
maybe he wrote this song when he was 14 years old. the lyrics suck, but the music makes me want to jiggle.
Obviously testosterone challenged! :-& These vocals are horrid!
ryan.....gotta love him......
Wooow :)
