Her lips are sweet, her legs are big
Her looks can make you dance the jig
Her touch is so soft, her heart is so warm
What knocks me out is your hidden charms

Her voice is so soft, her love is so true
I think about her, that's all I do
She's weak and wanton in my arms
What moves me, darling, is your hidden charms

When I hold you in my arms
Brings out all of your hidden charms

Her kiss is so pure as the morning dew
A real gone love is exciting too
Her eyes that talk, they say come on
What kills me, baby, is your hidden charms

When I hold you in my arms
Brings out all of your hidden charms

Well, OK, but are you sure it wasn't after Chester in The Band's The Weight?
8 down to 3
Not one of my favorite songs but I love Howlin Wolf.
While living in the Germantown section of Philadelphia around 1974 or so, I considered going to see Howling Wolf play nearby. Wish I had, but that was a scary area at night then (maybe even worse now). Still regret missing it to this day.
Love me some Hubert Sumlin guitar and Wolf vocals!

Well, it's a losing game to try to out-Wolf the Wolf.
Those pioneers really could rock. Mo' power to them.

My dad got me into the blues and the Wolf is one of our shared favorites. He told me a story about going to see Wolf in concert once and he had a heart attack on stage. I have no reason not to believe it.

I think I heard about that heart attack. Must have been terrifying for Chester.

Love the guitar on this. So much more alive than the Clapton piece that got played before this.

Never heared this before! Very nice!!
Thought this was Captain Beefheart at first - I know, I know, Howlin' Wolf is the original, but still ...
It was a real treat to see Howlin' Wolf at Fry Foggles in London, Ontario in the mid-1970s.  I have never had so much fun dancing.
Loving the Wiki description:
Burnett is commonly ranked among the leading performers in electric blues; musician and critic Cub Koda declared, "no one could match Howlin' Wolf for the singular ability to rock the house down to the foundation while simultaneously scaring its patrons out of its wits"

Now there's a reputation.

Very very cool tune from the Wolf. Hope there are more of his songs coming on RP.

Elvis Costello introduced me to this tune on his covers album Kojak Variety

I too heard the Costello version of this first. Wolf is currently my fave version...

Love the Wolf. Apparently a wild-ass live performer—he'd pound the floor, throw chairs, climb the curtains on the edge of the stage...

Feel free to dial this up any time! {#Dancingbanana}
