I saw Lori Carson live twice. Of this CD, she said, "that's not me on the cover". Oh, yeah, that is a fantastic song. It's called "Boy (Go)". Fantastic guitar, drums, singing. That song belongs on RP.

Yes, good album...I've been thinking the Palominos are RP material.  I think they were billed as an '80's "supergroup," formed by Anton Fier with the likes of his pals Michael Stipe, Syd Straw, Jack Bruce, Bill Laswell, Nicky Skopollitis, John Lydon, Richard Thompson, and others spinning in and spinning out thru the many years and many albums.

The one I recall is a remake of Moby Grape's "Omaha" from the album Visions of Excess, 1985.

Also, Mr. Stipe sang on "Clustering Train" and "Boy (Go)" (with Richard Thompson on guitar) from that album. The latter song is in the RP library but hasn't been played yet (?).

Has a pretty cool, trancey kinda groove. I sure do dig Lori's bass! Always thought Yo La Tengo's Moby Octopad sounds like this...

anyone remember the cut that Michael Stipe did with them in the '80s? Awesome feel to that song. Always liked the changing contributors in this band.

Had to look this up on AMG. "Alive and Living Now" is the track, off of the Drunk with Passion CD (which actually came out in the early 90's). A friend of mine (who was one of the first people I knew who had a CD player in his car) had this CD and we used to listen to it a good bit. Several good songs on there other than the Stipe song if memory serves me correctly (which it frequently doesn't these days). However, looking at AMG again, it looks like there may have been a collaboration with Stipe in the 80's. This is the one that I am aware of, though.
