This was fun back in the late 1970's - now it sounds a little juvenile and dated to me, but it's good to hear anyway.

awesome! Still one of my favorites, though this from the cd, which is a different mix (guitar added) from the original vinyl, still have the original first release album, with all the liner notes artwork and lyrics.

Loved this album.  Reminds me of watching Vincent Price in The Raven and other Edgar Allen Poe movies on the weekends when nothing else was on.

I'm not sure, having read Edgar Allan Poe's stories, including The Raven, that this 'project' really captures the sheer obsession and fear in the story. IMO the Simpsons version is a far better rendering (and I'm not joking). 5 from the Nottingham jury.

If you were stuck in a dormitory in the late 70's, you certainly would have gotten a taste of this and several other ditties from Mr. Parsons wafting out of rooms (along with other "distinctive" smells).
