There's samples in pretty much everything he does. Who knows where it was lifted from though.
this tune is pretty good ...
Moby has such an outstanding ability to tap into emotions . The 1st time I heard this CD I was amazed.

I agree with all the comments here about the mood of this one. Somehow it pulls me in. I like it.

Dreamy.
I keep expecting the Dream Academy choir to break in ("Life in a Northern Town"). Yes, same key as the Steve Earle, so it segues nicely.
Not such a fan of this one, but a beautiful transition into Steve Earle!
Have you seen, "Children of Men"? The mood invoked here reminds me of that bizarre but excellent film.

and like many such people, an insufferable ass, at times. The complete package.
Moby's "Play" was used so much in commercials from 1999 to 2001 that it now sounds dated much faster than it should've.
A generic black and white box of crap.
Hmmmm... Flanger!

This song always reminds me of the 2 weeks I spent in Bora Bora... mmmmm topless women and french cuisine in the tropics.
Hmmm, good job too. Once small spelling mistake and you would have ended up in Tora Bora...
Creepy, but nice. Sounds like a multitude of people chanting as a giant space ships lands. Kinda like close encounters.

+1 for Bora Bora. Like the song too.

Why isn't it possible to skip a track on RP?! Sometimes, not to often but sometimes, I'd nee this magic button that makes Bill skip a track. This is one of them. Maaaan, am I happy that you can't discuss taste.
as a surreal dreamy soundscape, this is too stilted and indecisive...its repetetiveness caused me to track-skip on the cd
Dreamy.
A great set, Bill. It keeps up a theme and with excursions into music that is new to me. I found that this song was enjoyable after a bit...

Moby & Enya, anyone ever notice how you never see them together in the same room? Makes you wonder.
I saw this guy in concert in Germany back in 1997. Back then he was a grung/punk artist and the show was very entertaining. I liked him better back then.
boooring...
Im floating aaaaawwwwaaaayyyyyy....
This is a very bad imitation of Pink Floyd!!!
I TOTALLY AGREE WITH BOTH OF THE LAST TWO COMMENTS.
Sounds like Enya after a fistfull of barbiturates.
The man is brilliant!

Hmm... I was thinking it was his sister, but yeah... I'm thinking of a scene with a group of ghostly looking people (children?) in the woods...
You got it. There were actually a couple Moby tracks used that season, this one, and "The Sky Is Broken", which was used during the episode that Gillian Anderson directed.

This always recalls The X-Files for me. I can see it does the same for others.

Moby really tries to go to every end of the spectrum with his music. Sometimes he can be too experiemental but I like this, only I would like to hear it more in the right context. Twin Peaks soundtrack on the other hand was brilliant! Deeply eerie.
If I'm not mistaken, this was used in an x-files episode where Mulder finds his Mother (or looks into a parallell universe where she might exist). 7/10.

IMO this is the only interesting song he's done. Everything else I've heard is boring rubbish.
From what I've seen, everyone has one favorite Moby song... but no more than one. Mine is "Natural Blues" (at least, I think that's what it's called). This is dumb.

You beat me to it! This stuff is crappy! Hey, an Enya/Moby duet CD, there's an idea....

Someone help me out. Was this the song playing on the X-Files when Mulder finally realizes his sister is dead?
Yes. Haunting. To me, its connected with seeing just beyond--with moments of deep longing and seeing, only to be gone again--snatched just beyond your grasp. And to remain a memory. A personal interpretation from its place as a soundtrack song in one life, but I can understand why it was used in the X-Files for that scene.
Yawn
I love Bulgarian voices, but they are very bad used here.

I never knew she died... I thought one of the clones was still the original....this changes my whole PERSPECTIVE!

Very profound - I tend to stop what I'm doing and listen when it comes on.

Nice closing track on a cool album...
