I like the song musically, however, as has already been said, the lyrics leave a lot to be desired. I agree with the Mike Doughty comment. I thought it was him when I first heard the song as well. However, I don't think he's aweful. I like a lot of what I've heard from him.

Now maybe it's just me, but given the choice between a faithful lover and a dead lover, I think I'd have to go with Curtain A, Monte. Argh. I uploaded several songs by these guys from their earlier albums (Meet Me At The Fair, Tonight EP, and After The Party) a while back, but all three submissions got Heismanned. Great band that is definitely worth a listen, especially if you can find any of their older stuff. Anyway, glad to hear them on RP!

Voice like Adam Duritz's. A lot like it--the inflection, too. To me, that's not necessarily good or bad. Just made me look. I agree about the orchestration--nice stuff, though the strings are pushed a little hard for my tastes.
